“Horrible”

Guesthouse Inn & Suites

Traveled for many years, this was the worst experience ever. Horrible staff, rooms smelled so bad, my wife made us check out a day early. There were no rooms in town, she said she would rather sleep in the car with my 2 children. They should offer 'Smoking or Chain Smoking' The room across the hall was partying all night and I guess they have a lounge, and on a Friday night they are allowed to make noise all night in the hallway. Had to call for towels, I guess they are not standard. They should offer ointment for the scabies. Normally I don't say anything, but I had to somehow warn others. btw- the breakfast is a joke, one coupon per room and the portions are smaller than any kids meals.

“renovations”

Guesthouse Inn & Suites

Mar 11, 2008

I drove by a sign on my way to Idaho Falls that said they had a room for 59.99 a night so i decided to stop and see, sure enough they did. Not only was it$59 but I also got a breakfast bisuits and gravy yumm they even have a lounge that was open pretty late. Overall I had a great stay at the Guest House Inn. Im guessing that form all the past reviews they have done a lot of renovation. The rooms were clean and looked new. The only down side is that they are in the process of more renovations so that means less rooms.

“Dirty, Filthy, Nasty Hotel”

Guesthouse Inn & Suites

This was the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at. The bedspreads had oil stains, the carpet was extremely dirty and old. The carpet also had white stains that obviously were overlooked by housekeeping. There was no shampoo provided for the $75 a night! The walls are thin and you can hear everything. No elevator which means you have to lug your suitcases up the stairs. The hallway carpets are also dirty. The carpets are so dirty and old they are probably the original carpet installed when the place was built. The service from one night person was terrible. She was rude and obnoxious to guests. Some guy booked a room on the internet and he was told too bad.. they were full and his reservation meant NOTHING! The breakfast wasn't very good either. Plus you don't get your meal ticket until the morning then you have to go to the front desk and beg for one. I switched rooms to the corporate suite..the only difference was the comforter was floral and the TV was in an entertainment center. Same dirt and filth as the room before. Then when you complain they act surprised like they have no idea that there is a dirty room out there! They know their place is a dump they just play dumb.

When we entered the room, we were immediately hit by the smell of wet dog. Later, it turned out the smell was coming from one of the bedspreads. The windows didn't open and the AC didn't work, so we got to stew all night in a fetid, airless room. Bathroom was mildewy and a little slimy. Wireless internet was free, but access was intermittent and the connection was slow. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

“not coming back”

Guesthouse Inn & Suites

The rooms were very dingy, A/C did not work well and the room smelled!!!!! We were traveling with our pets and realize that often you have to sacrifice in order to take them along. This was bad however. Hallways were dirty and the stairs appeared to have not been swept in a very long time. I would definately try a different hotel if you are going to be staying in Idaho Falls.
