We were in Ketchum with extended family for Christmas. After most of the others left, my husband and I and our son and daughter-in-law decided to go out to eat rather than have more leftovers. We wanted to find someplace outside the Ketchum/Sun Valley area, where prices are often inflated. I checked with a nephew who lives in the area about any good restaurants in Hailey or Bellevue, and he suggested this one in Hailey, although I saw one in Bellevue as well. When I saw that it was among the top rated in the area on tripadvisor, we went for it.
LOVED it! When we got there and saw that it serves both Mexican and Salvadoran food, I immediately perused the menu for pupusas, which are listed under appetizers. The duena is from El Salvador, and since we were the only ones in the restaurant at the time (the Tuesday after Christmas), she sat down and talked with us, answering our questions and offering to accommodate the dishes to our requests. Everything we ordered was fantastic, from the pupusas to our daughter-in-law's chimichanga, to my usual, shrimp with garlic sauce, the best I've tasted, bar none, at any Mexican restaurant. Viva Lago Azul!
