“Not to be Missed!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2010

This was my third trip to Dog Bark Park and each time I go is more delightful than the last. Sweet Willie is so comfortable. The bed provides a great night's sleep, the breakfast is abundant and delicious, from homemade granola and coffee breads/muffins to yogurt, fresh fruit and hardboiled eggs, and the bathroom is more spacious than many chain motels. There's nothing better than sitting on the porch and gazing out over the Camas Prairie, then waiting for dark and more stars than a city dweller will see in a lifetime. Hosts Dennis and Frances have wonderful stories to share and a philosophy of life that is an example to us all. Visitors will love the grounds with all the whimsical creations. I take the same pictures each time I visit because everything is so delightful and each time I return there is something new that brings a smile to my face. Take the time to plan a visit to Dog Bark Park. Idaho is a beautiful state and you'll love whichever route you take to get there.

The Dog Bark Park Inn is fun and the owners are experts in hospitality. Dennis and Frances were helpful and friendly and we felt well cared for.

A very private and comfortable room. Gorgeous Idaho sunsets from the balcony. Hosts are friendly and down-to-earth. Breakfast is made yourself, from a generous selection of tasty treats, in a simple kitchenette. Includes a good selection of snacks and beverages for the evening before as well. No TV or phone, but there is a lot to keep you busy. Games, puzzles, books, are provided, or you can just sip tea on the balcony while you watch the sunset. Much larger bathroom than most motels. Beautiful craftsmanship inside.

My husband thought it some sort of joke when we pulled in. He thought it was another crazy idea of mine. Sweet Willy was cute on the outside so it must be "sub-par" on the inside, right?!? No way! Bed was comfy, homemade foods in fridge, games for the kids, spacious area. Kids even slept in the "nose". If you are traveling through, book early! My 13 year-old asked to buy the place when he grows up!

Went with my 10-year old daughter and Henry, the bassett hound. It's an enchanting place. We played on the grounds, explored the nearby Salmon river and the towns of Cottonwood and Keuterville, played games in "Sweet Willie" (your big beagle hotel) when it rained, saw two rainbows, visited with Denis and Frances, and had a wonderful time. And you have the whole place to yourself! There are no grumpy people at DBPI. Clean, breakfast is healthy and plentiful. An oasis for your body and soul. Next time we'll do some kayaking or whitewater rafting, too.

My second stay at this wonderful unique "giant beagle" bed and breakfast! The owners Dennis and Frances are simply delightful as well as talented. There is a large bedroom/small kitchen in the body, a loft with a cubby hole for the kids up in the Beagle's head, and a sparkly clean and well equipped bathroom in the back. The kitchen has dishes and utensils, a small fridge and lots of food. The homemade granola and muffins are my favorite. There are books and games and no tv or phone! It is amazingly quiet and peaceful - a perfect spot for both single travelers and families. The dog theme and the wonderful "dog" crafts in the little shop are marvelous. Exceptionally talented owners. And dogs are allowed!! Don't miss this unique place!! You will LOVE it!!

So glad you returned & that your experience was exactly as expected or needed.
We enjoy meeting & spending time with each and every visitor should they wish
to visit with us. Even though guests stay in the world's biggest dog, Sweet Willy the
Beagle, in our view travel & being hosts is all about the human connections.
Thank you for writing.

What started out as a birthday surprise to my special lady friend and a celebration for my Dog Dusty for the 1 year anniversary of recovery from successful surgery turned into a weekend that we will never forget and will live in our hearts forever. 2 Months prior to our stay... I had gone into their shop at Dog Bark Park as a Gift/Souvenier Salesman and walked out with a reservation to stay in the Giant Beagle Bed & Breakfast with my Lady Friend and Dusty D Dawg. ( How often does a dog get to stay inside a dog or a Human either- for that matter?!? Ha). I also commissioned them to create a Dusty Figure out of wood! Some salesman- I am...huh? Just weeks prior to our stay- 9 year old Dusty became quite ill and went to sleep after being diagnosed with incurable cancer.

So needles to say, our stay turned into a Memorial for Dusty and gave me something to look forward to during a very sad time as well as a Birthday Surprise that my Carmen nor I will ever forget- ever! Imagine her surprise when she realized she was home for the night to Stay inside the Giant Beagle. Our overnight stay was very comfy, the Homemade Breakfast was to die for, and Dennis and Frances - the host & hostess with the most and are now our friends for life.

We highly reccomend the Dog Bark Park Bed & Breakfast to Dog Lovers, People Lovers, Travelers, Fun Seekers , and Adventurers Everywhere!!!!!
