“Extremely pleasant service, Very clean”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2008

After a very long drive, it was wonderful to find such hospitality. (Actually all of Couer D'Alene was very hospitable.) It must have been a very long day for you as well, but your cheery personality was just what we needed.

Thank you to Kim and Mimi for making us feel very comfortable during our stay. Breakfast in the morning hit the spot - thank you Mimi.

The rooms are very, very clean. This hotel is a true reflection of pride of ownership. If cleanliness is a 'must' for you, you won't be disappointed.

It is easy to find on the way to the casinos and is worth every penny. I'll be back again when I return to Idaho.

  • Liked — Very clean. Very hospitable. Care of the guests.
  • Disliked — We know the walls are thin, but we didn't have any problem with this. All guests were very conscious of this and respected everyone else.

Nothing could be further from a typical chain motel - and that is what is wonderful. The beds are VERY comfortable, fluffy comforters, lots of cushy pillows and the room was extremely clean. Breakfast was delicious and pleasant outside in the private gazebo. The owners went out of their way to make us and our little one happy. There are no bright lights or flashy signs so one could easily drive on by - we are glad we didn't. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to anyone.

  • Liked — clean, quality, comfort and friendly
  • Disliked — can't think of a thing

I was expecting this place to be your typical motel with all of your common amenities and room features but when I got there and saw the rooms I was very pleased. The staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean. The beds had comforters and great pillows. This was by far the most comfortable and pleasant motel stay I've had while taking road trips around the states. Couer d'Alene is also a very beautiful place to visit. I would highly recommend this motel and spending some time at the beach down by the lake.

A modest hotel but extremly clean with fluffy white bedding and good pillows. Kind family owns it and they are helpful and even made me tea on request. Thanks for the extra help with my computer.

Sometimes one just gets so livid that they need to express their feelings about past events.

My thoughts rest with the Japan House Suites in Coeur d'Alene (CDL) This place was suggested to me by another motel owner as redone and clean.

First, the problem was with the price. . .$140 plus tax which put it at about $149.00 for weeknites and weekdays. We were in a pinch but took it. But this is not over a $90 room in this area.

So spoke to the lady next door in the morning and for the same two queen beds, she said she was billed $113.00 with tax per nite.. . .*Y^**$*(

Then all extras were made a big deal of like:
"We offer you free coffee in the room, and that is complementary to you from us of course."
Then the same thing with breakfast, and again for towels. . .

Oh, and breakfast. . .the guests were served one on one by one tired lady/co-owner. She just told everyone to have a seat and relax and she would get to them. . .yeahhh. . .15 minutes later. . .and all the tables were full. . .You had to ask for each thing that you wanted. . .guessing what was on the menu.

The second day, they said they ran out of coffee so none would be put in the room. . .

And, they didn't let guests use the computer in the reception area of their orfice because "there were virus's out there and stuff."
And that is "what their computer savvy daughter recommended to them". . .C'mon, there are millions of places who have figured it out. . .

Not a great experience and I would never stay there again.
