“Lunch only, great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

I went to Carambola while on a recent business trip to Cd'A. A few of my corkers went two days in a row! While a very small, very basic lunch cafe, the food is fantastic and the owner/operator is very nice and gives a warm welcome to everyone who comes into the door. The owner is so nice and wants to talk plenty to his customers, that it can slow the process down. Don't go if you are in a hurry. There are maybe 6-8 tables, so to-go orders are an option too. The fresh salads are in the case and while there is no duo or trio on the menu for a salad sampler, you can ask for it and they charge accordingly. its a good way to go since the salads all look so good, you won't want to eat just one. Order hot food from the menu and the soup are super tasty. Carambola is not right in downtown - it would be a bit of a walk from there. If you are staying in town, take a car and look for it in a small strip mall. You won't be disappointed!

“Favorite Place in Coeur d Alene!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

Fresh, fresh, fresh. Lots of great veggies and salads. Authentic Peruvian food from scratch. Wish they would open for dinner a few nights a week. Looking forward to winter soups.

“Really delicious food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2012

We all enjoyed the soup of the day which was curried squash. Wonderful! The sandwiches are so good...great bread and the chimichurri sauce was really tasty. I want to go back on a Friday for the tamale lunch. And I would like to try more of their soups. Great lunch!

“Good Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2012

They put an unusual spin on some classic sandwiches. I wish they changed up the menu a bit and had the option to add some kick to the food. They do cater to Idahoans as opposed to Latin traditions, IMO.
