“Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013

Good location and only a short walk to several bars and restaurants.

Comfortable bed but the bedding could use an update. I know in another review it said that the walls were thin but we didn't notice at all.

Great place to stay at a VERY reasonable price.

Room Tip: Chose a ground level floor if you struggle with stairs or have a lot of luggage, there is no elevat...

Mary, the manager, is the BEST! She was so helpful! Willing to help carry luggage upstairs, and then downstairs when we left. Helped us drain water from our ice cooler...she was eager to help with anything! She takes pride in her work and it shows.
Motel was clean and location was perfect. Our room was on the first floor and was quiet. For the price, it is a great value!

Room Tip: Rooms away from the street are probably the quietest.

Mary, the manager, was absolutely fabulous!! She made our stay so easy and fun. We checked in as a large group and her humor and efficiency kept us patient, satisfied and laughing. There was no elevator; but Mary just hauled the bags up with smiles and laughter. She greeted the guests at breakfast; and, again she made sure that all requests were cheerfully fulfilled. The hotel itself was clean and had good amenities (fridge, microwave and coffee pot); but the rooms were very noisy late at night as well as early in the morning. Location was a few blocks from gorgeous lake. While I usually wouldn't make such a big deal about hotel management, it is so nice to be greeted by person with such a beautiful spirit and love of life and people. Mary had an impact on all of us!

If you want to walk around Couer ' Alene, this hotel is conveniently located. The breakfast tends to be stuff from Costco and the staff is very helpful. Spent a couple of nights in late August. Other than the much pricier Couer d' alene Resort, there is no better walking location. There is not much else besides your room and a breakfast. If you want to party a little in CDA and not drive, this is great. It is a small place, they are a friendly, but you cannot leave your window open without them knowing. Borders on the close proximity to the hosts of a B and B.

Room Tip: The upper floor end room has an outside sitting area and the room all the way in from the street has...

The best thing about this hotel was the price and the location. You are able to walk around downtown without a car, which was really nice. We were on the first floor and the people above us had to have been on something because they paced the floors all night and kept us up. You could literally hear each step. Pay a little more and get an insulated hotel. Breakfast was horrible too.

We were glad to find this special place in a central location without the resort price.
The management knows how to take care of its visitors. This makes it easy to plan a return visit.
We love Couer d'Alene.

First time in Coeur d'Alene for us and we stayed two nights. We traveled with a dog and they were very accommodating. We had a corner room and it was clean and comfortable. But the location is superb, right downtown so you can walk everywhere, even Tubbs Hill, which we did. Didn't try the breakfast as we were on a long trip and tired of those continental breakfasts you always get. Also we don't rate wifi/tv since it's not important and we're on vacation. The only caveat is you are right downtown and there was some noise even though we were not there on a weekend. I could see it being very noisy especially when those people with loud trucks that are making up for some mental/physical issue drive up and down the strip. Plus, you are in walking distance from that ugly, monstrous resort near the lake that I cannot believe gets rated so highly.
