“Dirty, poor service, long lines, no healthy food.”

They need to pay and treat their employees better so they want to do a good job. We will probably not go back.

“Went on a whim and did not regret it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013 via mobile

My family and I (two little ones) went on an extended road trip through the Canadian Rockies and decided to stop in Idaho before heading back to Seattle. We heard about silverwood theme park from friends but was hesitant since we have two little ones. We are so glad we decided to still go. We arrived 30 minutes before the park opened and were able to secure a picnic spot next to the toddler pools. My kids had a blast!! They were content with the slides, liked the wave pool, and the lazy river. As parents we had fun watching our kids enjoy the sun and the water. The facilities are clean, the flowers and grounds are beautiful, the food is priced reasonably. After spending about 5.5 hours at the water park we headed to the theme park and we rented a stroller. The theme park has many kid friendly rides. I would avoid the Ferris wheel at all costs. Other lines were fast moving but the Ferris wheel took nearly an hour and the workers were chatting it up. I did not appreciate the long wait.

The staff are all very pleasant and the atmosphere couldn't be beat. Will have to visit again if we ever pass this way again.

“Great value here and worth driving 6 hours”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013 via mobile

We visited in July for two days and spent one in the waterpark and the other in the theme park side. They charge five dollars for parking which I thought was very reasonable and there was no lineup to enter the park when we arrived on a Thursday at 1030. The waterpark could use more shaded areas, so arrive early if you want your choice of lounge chairs.

Plenty to do here in the waterpark, there were no lineups at the best attractions if you go first thing in the morning. Spending the afternoon in the wave pools was great as they filled with people but there was still lots of room for all.

The food was typical greasy fattening large-portioned American theme park food. However, they weren't charging a lot for it, and I was able to get a very fresh salad at the Mexican restaurant.

There was something for everyone on the theme park side and don't miss the excellent free magic show/pizza dinner. The park is small enough that we let our 12 year olds roam free and were not concerned about them. It was nice to leave the theme park side for a quick dip in the waterpark in the afternoon so bring swim stuff each day and there are lockers to hold your things for clothing changes.

Definitely worth a visit. We drove from Kelowna and stayed in Farragut State Park campground so the trip was very inexpensive. We go to Disneyland every few years so if you love theme parks, this is a cheap but quality experience for a fraction of the cost. The grounds were also clean and well manicured, although they don't have the Disney characters of course.

“Loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

This was our very first trip to CDA, ID. Thought this was going to be a "low budget" theme park, similar to a County Fair. Boy was I wrong! It's a big time theme park with a very home town feel! I love the Victorian theme of the buildings. I have to say that when we go to ANY amusement park, we always compare it to Disneyland. Usually we are disappointed...but not this time. Silverwood is VERY clean (which is something we always look for when we visit any theme park) and has a very subtle bluegrass type music playing throughout the park. The owners/managers of this park take great pride in keeping this place nice! Overall, we had a great experience at Silverwood and would recommend it to anyone and everyone!
