This little restaurant was satisfying, but it needs some finesse. Some Greek music, perhaps?
What it has going for it is the location; the menu variety; the large portions; and reasonable prices. The skewered grilled chicken and lamb we tasted had wonderful flavor. Hummus, warm pita and tzsatziki sauce were nice complements.
~You won't find table cloths or cloth napkins here, but if that keeps prices down, then OK. ~Servers have not been trained to serve from behind the diners [not to pass dishes in front of the people at the ends of the table].
~We had a feeling that the moussaka, green beans, and spanikopita were not freshly made, but warmed up servings--tasty yet soggy.
~For dessert we tried the baklava, which doesn't measure up to Raci's White House recipe, and no one offered coffee.....
