“Modern and busy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2014 via mobile

The hotel is close to I90 but a few miles away from lake Coeur d'Alene. It is modern, with nicely decorated large rooms. Nice bath room with shower cabin. The designer for some unknown reason has placed a larger hole into the shower door...some water comes onto the floor while showering. Fridge and microwave as well as sitting area are available. Fridge sometimes hums noisily. Aircon kind of noisy as well. Curtain not long enough thus does not close properly and light comes through.
Free breakfast but quite chaotic scenes on a Saturday morning with too many people and kids fighting for food and seats. Free wifi and parking. Safety deposit boxes at the reception. Fitness center with cardiovascular equipment and a few dumb bells.
All in all a nice hotel with a few improvable things. Breakfast on a busy morning, however, is no fun.

Youre supposed to get what you pay for, but for $250 a night ive had much cleaner and quieter!! Decor is new and very pleasing to the eye. Our carpet in our room was very dirty with many stains (pic attached- patterned style) as was the sofa upholstery. Also the carpet in the hall near the elevator was stained many places (attached pic- solid color). Room has almost no soundproofing. I could hear the people above and beside us. I expect more for that price range.

Room Tip: Get one with no one above or beside you.

Dear RJ - Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. Our leadership team is addressing the items that you identified by enlisting professional services to attack the unsightly areas. This operation will be conducted discretely within the next few days. We will execute a better plan of action moving forward to stay in tune with our busy guest pace throughout the summer months.

Please stay with us again during your next visit to the Coeur d'Alene area.

Regards - Matt Hofmann - Director of Sales.

Best Spring Hill Suites in the country (okay out of the 20+ I have been too). Felt like I was at a resort, check-in smooth with courteous/friendly staff. Rooms were standard like all SHS, super clean, quiet, and comfortable. Free B-fast was nice, plenty to eat and not too crowded, they have large seating area with tables. If you are looking for a place to stay for 1 to a few nights at a reasonable rate in the height of summer and do not need direct lake access this is a great value.

Room Tip: High Floor away from elevator was super quiet.

We stayed at the Springhill Suites for 3 nights while we were in Coeur d'Alene and it was a great hotel. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean and modern and the beds were very comfortable It is within a few miles of all the tourist locations and easy access to the interstate. The amenities were great, free breakfast, managers special in the evening with complimentary beer and wine, and hot cookies. The pool is a good size however I do wish it was outdoors just because it was so hot out at the time we stayed here. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Typical Springhill room, even though they screwed up my reservation. Pool was a little on the cool side and hot tub too hot. Staff are friendly enough, tries to please but obviously lack management. Breakfast this morning saw line up with over 30 people waiting. Constantly out of everything possible. The workers were really working their butts off but did not see a single manager helping or organizing. It took almost 20 minutes to get through the line. Please do not make any excuses that the hotel was busy, this has been happening all week! Also, surely the hotel knows how many people are staying the night including how many kids which should give them an idea who many people will be eating breakfast, right? From hot food to baked products, to cutlery to fruits cold cuts, juices, waffle mixes, etc.........everything was constantly out causing the line up to not move and congestion since the same people keep coming back to check if any new food has been put out!

Dear cowoydanno - Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback and observations during your time with us. We are constantly re-evaluating our staffing and support structure trying to keep our "aces in the right places" throughout the hotel. It sounds like we fell short during your time with us. As a leadership team we will better spread our coverage to ensure optimal visibility and support during our busy summertime breakfast rushes. Everything that you shared will be discussed with the team in an effort to continuously improve.

Please try the SpringHill Suites Coeur d'Alene again during your next visit.

We were quite pleased with our experience here. The check-in process was excellent, thanks to James, who sincerely wanted to make our check-in experience a positive event, unlike so many desk people who just go through the motions.

The facility itself is new, modern, and user-friendly. The rooms are bright and cheerful, as well as well designed. The bed was VERY comfortable. The breakfast food selection is quite ample, and the eating area large and airy.

The location is convenient, near the interstate, but have no fear, the rooms are very quiet and well sound-proofed. We would not hesitate to stay here again on our next visit to Coeur d'Alene.

the fact that it is new helps a lot. The staff was excellent, and most definitely the best redeeming quality. I loved the furniture, especially the armoire...The suite layout was superb. We would stay here every chance we get.
