“Good Value in Coeur d'Alene”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

Good location near I-90 and Hwy 95 though it's a bit difficult to get to as you need to drive through multiple parking lots to get there. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast offering was very good and the seating space was ample. The rooms are quiet because the motel is not next to the adjacent highways and is not close to busy commercial areas. It wasn't inexpensive but it was much cheaper than comparable places closer to the lake. We would stay here again.

This is a lovely hotel for a reasonable price. The continental breakfast was the best I've seen. giant pool and hot tub that's open 24 hours a day. The staff was kind helpful and accommodating. The hotel is located across from the hospital and a short drive from downtown. I would recommend this hotel to anyone! More than worth the price. I'll be booking a room here again for my next stop in Couer d' Alene

It was our first time to stay here. Check-in was slow mostly due to several groups that arrived at the same time. The room was very nice, very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The pool and spa area were also clean and well kept. Breakfast was surprisingly good. We were there for 2 nights and breakfast was different both mornings. The only drawback was that our room faced a defunct water park hill that blocked any view. Even so, we would stay here again.

We booked this hotel for Ironman Coeur d'Alene and we were very pleased with the location and service. It is a bit odd to get to this location - you literally drive through a couple parking lots to get there, but the upside is that there is very limited outside noise in the rooms.
The staff is exceptionally friendly, offering a kind greeting and helpful tips each time we interacted with them. The breakfast area is large and is comparable to Hampton Inn's spread with waffles, oatmeal, eggs, etc. This area was a natural gathering place and many people lingered to read the paper or watch the news even after they'd finished eating.
The hotel pool and hot tub were open 24 hours and appeared clean. There were quite a few people enjoying them when I peaked in.
The rooms themselves were large. There was a mini-fridge, microwave, and wet bar. All of which were clean and worked great. We had a king bed and both slept well. There is a larger couch too - plenty of room to spread out. It was a pleasant stay.

Pros:
- exceptionally kind staff
- great breakfast spread
- huge rooms with great convenient amenities
- plenty of close parking

Cons:
- Not in a walkable location (there are tons of places nearby though and downtown is less than 10 minutes away)
- Coeur d'Alene is really pretty but this place doesn't have much of a view

Overall:
We had friends and family at other hotels and we all agreed - AmeriTel Inn was the best value in town.

First time at an Ameritel Inn. Rooms were very nice and much larger than an average hotel room. The breakfast was great and service excellent! My only complaint was the bed was too hard for me (even for my husband). I also think they should upgrade their TVs. Ours had very poor picture quality and was the old fashioned box TV.

The hotel gets the job done with flying colors. The bed is comfortable, room is clean and comes with fridge and microwave. The breakfast was great with many options. Only wish someone would come and clean off the tables in the breakfast room. It is not nice to have to sit down at a greasy table.

We booked this hotel online and upon arrival the rooms were very nice, the air conditioning worked great and the beds provided a very restful sleep. The hot buffet breakfasts were excellent. The staff were very easy to deal with and provided us with changes to our room refqujirements with not problems and switched our bags as well. Will not hesitate to stay here again in the future. You will not be disappointed with this hotel and the service.
