“Best beds and shower, ever!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

The place is a bit old, but its clean, the staff is very helpful and friendly, gave us fabulous tip on a great restaurant on Cleveland Ave (sunshine's). Next to Albertson's. The room has wonderfully fabulous beds and bedding and the shower is wonderful. Room rates are very decent and lots or parking (free). Great place all round.

We didn't arrive until after 10pm and were promptly checked in. We traveled with our dog and there was plenty of room for his bed.

We all enjoyed the breakfast and there was a variety of items offered. The sausage and gravy over biscuits was good. They had regular yogurt not the sugar free option that a lot of places carry. We would stay here again if we were in the area.

The staff was friendly. The hotel is close to the interstate but the room was quiet. The beds were soft (pillowtop feel) and very comfortable.

Nice breakfast with lots of selections, Nice pool, kiddy pool and hot tub. Staff was very pleasant and friendly. Bed was comfortable. A bit too much furniture for the size of the room. small bathroom. Coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave in the room.
Very small window that was not clean enough to see through. Not as good as one usually gets from La Quinta

I made the reservations for my dad to stay at the Caldwell, Idaho hotel for 2 nights. The staff were all very pleasant and nice. The room was clean. The breakfast was excellent. The location was perfect. There is an indoor swimming pool. The best thing was the price!

The only negative thing, if you can call it that, was that my dad mentioned that the bed was a tad too soft. Nevertheless, that is where my dad and step-mom will be staying from now on. Thanks, La Quinta!

Please note the pictures!

When I pulled the covers down I noticed that there was a yellow stain on the bed comforter. It turned out to be urine with another larger spot further down. Called the desk and she brought a new set of sheets. When we pulled the sheets off the mattress covered a mattress covered with urine stains. Since there were two beds we pulled the sheets up from the second bed. Not only were the stains worse but it looked like the pad had been put down on a wet stain since the stain from the bed was also on the bottom of the pad.

The receptionist was very sweet and offered us a different room if we could haul everything downstairs. We agreed but check the beds first. They were as bad if not worse than the room we had been in (218). It was not around 11:00 so we opted with three comforters covering the pad and then covered with the sheets.

I believe that urine is considered an environmental hazard being left like this. I suggested to the receptionist that since this was a family motel it would be wise to use water proof under pads on NEW mattresses.

The hotel was beautiful and the rooms appeared to be clean but the end result was very sad. I cannot believe that these rooms would pass health codes and house keeping either was not educated or was told to ignore it. Makes you wonder what is under those pretty sheets now, doesn't it?

Room Tip: Look before you pay!
