Through an error, I made a reservation at this hotel. Even though it was not my fault, I was charged the full amount (over $100) for 1 night at this hotel, which I didn't even get the opportunity to use. Although I made the mistake, the management was thoroughly unwilling to help reduce the fee. If you make a reservation at this hotel, they will charge you whether or not you go.

We were surprised at the size of the room we got - after developing gymnastic skills leaping around numerous tiny rooms for the rest of the trip this was a welcome surprise. There was a three seater lounge and two single chairs with a coffee table in front of the tv, and a desk and chair also. Heaps of room! Hotel was on a busy main road about a 10 minute drive from downtown, however the traffic calmed down after peak hour and did not really bother us. The indoor pool was pleasant but unheated and far too cold to swim in. Breakfast was a basic affair poolside. Haven't any of these places heard of fresh fruit?? Free internet access was gratefully appreciated, a rarity in any hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly, parking was on site and no problem. For $117 AUD this was good value, and surpassed many more expensive hotels we stayed in.

“Don't Pass This One By!”

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for over two weeks due to space limitations at our relative's home and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff was very friendly and accommodating--going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. We requested a microwave and refrigerator and it was there waiting for us upon our arrival. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room--more than generous! The hotel had just undergone interior rennovations which are very tasteful and pleasing to the eye. It is not a big, splashy hotel but rather an intimate and a comfortable one. Shopping and restaurants are a max five-minute drive away. Don't pass this one by!!

“Quite Pleased - Undiscovered Gem”

My wife & I stayed here for 5 days, and I am pleasantly surprised. The outside of the hotel is a bit out of date, but everything through the front door is excellent. The staff is very friendly & helpful and the interior is very cozy and quiet. There is a nice pool in the atrium for morning laps - not terribly long but you can get good exercise. If you really want to swim laps or work out, hotel guests can use a great health club just over a mile away. Complimentary breakfast is served every morning in the atrium. High speed internet access is free in the rooms, and I'm able to access my office, much to my wife's chagrin. The hotel is sort of between downtown and the airport, so I would stay here on business next time I'm in town.

Nice job!

“Pleasantly Surprised”

Harrison Plaza Suite Hotel

We had to book a last minute wedding night trip here in Boise because of family-related circumstances as we originally planned to stay in Las Vegas.

It being a wedding night I was looking for a room fit for a queen but at a price that wouldn't break the pocket book.

I called the front desk to find out if they had any jacuzzi suites available. They let me know they had one left--the Presidential Suite. The price they quoated me was $185 for the room plus taxes of course.

I asked if they had any specials or packages available for wedding nights and the clerk let me know they had a 'Romance package' for an additional $50 more that included a dozen roses, champagne, and chocolates. I opted for this since it would only be $235 which is less than some rooms in the competing 'Anniversary Inn' also in town that we have stayed at. However the Anniversary Inn's rooms had no balconies and were a bit confining and were not very spacious at all compared to our 'Presidential Suite'.

Upon arriving I wasn't expecting too much since the hotel was undergoing construction for remodeling and doesnt look too swanky from the outside. However, upon receiving our keys and going up to our room we were pleasantly surprised.

The rooms size was very adequate. It had a lounge area right in the entrance with a desk and entertainment center with a television. The TV was a bit small for my tastes but was adequete. Near the center of the room was a small kitchenette/bar that also had a small TV above it for viewing from the four poster california king size bed which was on a raised floor. The bed was very comfortable and I am not one that sleeps easy--especially when I am not at home. I slept very well.

The room also included a decently sized two-person jacuzzi adjoining a two person shower with a bench that was all glass. I would have liked two shower heads in the shower but again it was a small annoyance compared with our satisfaction of the rest of the room. They also had two comfortable bathrobes for our stay.

Outside was an adjoining balcony (on the fourth floor) with pretty nice views of the foothills. The balcony was very large (nearly half the size of the suite its self and included a small round table with two chairs along with two loveseats. It was a bit noisy as it was near a fairly busy road but otherwise a treat.

In the end the hotel never charged us the additional $50 for the 'Romance Package' (perhaps because it was our wedding night) so our final bill only came up to $207 which was well worth the stay.

As I said above, I liked this much more than staying at their competitor the 'Anniversary Inn' and would reccomend it to anyone who wants something a little nicer than your average suite at a price that won't break your pocket book.
