“Great Staff, Quiet Room”

My family and I stayed at the Harrison Plaza Suite Hotel for four nights. The best thing about our stay was the staff. Everyone was so genuinely friendly, especially the front desk gentleman (whom I wish I would have gotten his name to give kudos to!!!) The room service ladies were very sweet and respectful, which I really appreciated. We used the pool twice while there, and it was very nice. They provide floats, beach balls, and pool "noodles", which I thought was unique (I've never seen another hotel offer these), so our daughter had a lot of fun. The room, pool, and other areas of the hotel was neat and clean. If I had to pinpoint one thing I didn't like, it would be the ceilings (I know that sounds odd, but hear me out). Our room ceiling was the kind you find in offices everywhere - white rectangle removable panels that all you have to do is push up on one of them and you have access to the crawl space (wires and whatever else is up there). We figured the building used to be a large office and that they hadn't changed the ceilings (or gotten to them yet). Not THAT big of a deal for us, but if you had valuables, medications, cash, etc., it would be a little un-nerving and you may not feel all that comfortable leaving them in the room while you're away. But that's it though, everything and everyone at the Harrison was fantastic. Thank you for a nice week during our stay in Boise! :o)

“Great Room & Service”

Harrison Plaza Suite Hotel

Jun 5, 2008

The Service was excellent. the staff was very friendly. My room (#111) was very roomy (2 beds) and the beds were comfortable. I stayed 3 nights there. I will definately stay there again. Pool was warm. The continental breakfast was good and you could sit by the pool. Close to the Boise Mall.

“Unbeatable Customer Service and great price!”

This Hotel was close to a conference we were attending and the price was reasonable. Not expecting much, I made a reservation through Expedia. When we went to check in, I had mistakenly made our reservation for July instead of April! Ooops! I was fully expecting them to tell us we had to go somewhere else. Well, despite having no rooms with two queen beds available, we were able to get a suite with one queen (Room 410) that had a huge balcony! They honored the same price I had already paid for the room with two queens, and they gave us two rollaway beds for free and helped us move to an even bigger room with two queen beds the next day! I have to tell you...I was literally blown away. We got Heather (front desk clerk) a small gift in appreciation for her customer service. The pool was clean and warm, the breakfast was more then adequate, the staff was friendly and we were just amazed at the customer service. For me, customer service can make or break a hotel. We could have paid way more money for a newer facility, but if the serivce stinks, I won't go back. The Harrison is amazing on service and quality. The hotel is comfortable and affordable. The Harrison was a pleasant surprise and offered exceptional customer service.

“what a great little place!!”

Harrison Plaza Suite Hotel

Sep 16, 2007

I'm surprised that anyone could stay here and give it a negative review. I just came back from 5 nights there and to me, customer service is everything and this place has loads of it. The room was nice - the woodwork frames around the mirrors, bed and desk were clean and in good shape. The bed had a pure white soft bedspread and big fluffy (and less so if you prefer those) pillows. They also had bathrobes hanging in the closets, and offered complimentary shoe shines. Breakfast each morning was continental - they had oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, cottage cheese, eggs, canned peaches, english muffins, bananas, bagels and an assortment of sweet breads each morning. The coffee was good quality and strong. They allowed us to check in early and check out late. The absolute best part to me was they had a complimentary shuttle that would get you to and from the airport, drive you to restaurants, shopping centers, etc. The hotel is situated so that about three blocks either direction you can find many good eating and drinking establishments if you prefer to walk - we did it every day and it was an easy walk for such a big city. If the shuttle is busy they told us to get a cab and charge it to the hotel. They also have arrangements with a couple restaurants where the hotel will call in your order, and they will deliver it and charge it to the hotel and put it on your bill - which works out great if you are traveling for work and don't have a lot of cash left towards the end of the week! The director of guest services was a wonderful, friendly, accomodating guy and all of the desk clerk folks were great too. We even went out to dinner a few nights with some of the other guests in the hotel. If you like to stay somewhere with not all of the fancy stuff but just a down-home, cozy feel to it this is the place to go. I was sad to leave but if I ever return to Boise I will definitely be staying here again.

Through an error, I made a reservation at this hotel. Even though it was not my fault, I was charged the full amount (over $100) for 1 night at this hotel, which I didn't even get the opportunity to use. Although I made the mistake, the management was thoroughly unwilling to help reduce the fee. If you make a reservation at this hotel, they will charge you whether or not you go.
