“Retro but not bad”

Spent one night on a business trip. Found it to be clean, with good beds (I'm picky) and almost like walking into my childhood. Even had an old massage shower head. Room was good size, wall of windows with sliding door out to deck or patio.Very comfortable recliner. Pool is randomly half in and out of a building... but it does give shade in the shallow end. Water didn't look sparkling but was actually quite nice. Hot tub looked nice but was being serviced. The play area of grass is actually green plastic turf. Easy location could walk to hospital and right off freeway. Noise was noticiable outside but not inside.

    • Disliked — slightly run down - some units patios were in the parking lot

We were in Boise for a soccer tourney with our kids. Our room was very clean, and the location was close to where we needed to be. The employees were very helpful, and the price compared to the other places we called seemed pretty reasonable. It is an older property, but we our stay was ok.

Hotel was a little more dated then I expected , could use some all around updates in the rooms and exterior. but for the most part the room was clean. Had the convenience of onsite cafe, lounge and offered room service, free shuttle to and from airport and to and from the mall.. I booked online with the hotel website/choicehotels.com and got an internet user hotel rate which was $69.26 (king bed) and by the time all the room tax, and safe warranty charges added up we ended up paying about $80 a night and is not worth that, would expect more for that price, the rooms should be econo lodge prices $49.99 a night...We experienced very friendly hotel, restaurant and lounge staff, but again all could use updates....We were not in our room much, as we were there for our sons State Track Meet at Bronco Stadium, hotel was in a good location for us, close to airport, mall, bronco stadium & downtown, freeway access was great. We had a room on 2nd floor with balcony facing the courtyard and pool area (no grass just outdoor green carpet) which was also facing the freeway, was loud with traffic noise in the morning and afternoon, but had no trouble at night. Also located next to a hospital therefore we had multiple sirens throughout our stay, but again no problem sleeping at night. I have mixed feelings about the hotel? It was not the best, but was okay, room rates over priced for what you get......I may stay again next year for our visit, but not sure? Our kids stayed at the doubletree by the stadium along with other parents and was told that the doubletree is not at all worth the room rate...

“It's not worth it”

$71.95 plus 13% lodging tax, plus a $1.06 safe warranty comes to over 82 bucks. For that you expect a nice clean, comfortable room. Nope. It smelled bad, the slider door had to blocked, it was uncomfortably small. No refrigerator, very dated television, only 2 towels. The bathroom counter space was taken up by the minitaure coffee pot. The carpets were badly stained and dirty. This is the kind of room you expect when you see those scary roadside motels advertising $39.99 a night. That's not even the worst part. The worst of all were the beds. Very old and lumpy. It sank into the middle and was the most uncomfortable night sleep I can remember having. I don't know who owns this place, but hopefully if enough of us complain they will remodel. The only positive thing I can say about the place is the staff was friendly and courteous. Heck, even the onsite restaurant was awful. And they closed at 9:30 pm. In a motel? DO NOT stay here!!!

Should have known when they jacked up the price $10 even though i booked with them over the phone. No elevator to the 3rd floor. Had to put the bedspread in the dresser. No wake up call 1st morning. Their coffee pot downstairs was empty. Even with do not disturb on my door, got back and the maid had been in the room, this really bugged me. There is nothing within walking but a quicky-mart. They did get my wake up call the next morning but the coffee was empty again downstairs.
