“Nice place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

The Safari Inn downtown was clean, quiet, had a decent breakfast-and was close to much of downtown. A block and a half away from the convention center, and for the price can't be beat. I'll be staying here again when I come back for pleasure trips-and even for business unless I have to stay elsewhere.

Room Tip: Stay on the second or third floors-

I just stayed there, and only one night. The room was very clean and comfortable, and had plenty of amenities. There's even a very easy-to-use safe in the room for small items...can fit a laptop in there!! The wi-fi was great, plenty of parking, and is right near Asiago's restaurant where my son works, so that was a huge plus! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only real downside was that there are a few steps to get to the entry to the rooms' building, which makes it a little challenging to lift heavy luggage. But that's the only real negative. I was surprisingly able to check in at 10 am, due to good timing!, and walked almost everywhere. Downtown Boise is a very fun place. So much to see and experience! Julia Davis Park is very close by and there's WinCo or Whole Foods to shop at nearby (short driving distance). If you get a membership card to the Inn they will continue to give you the lowest rates each time you go there, and if you stay there 12 nights, you get a 13th night free. They'll even keep the card for you so you don't have to worry about losing it!

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here and we love it! The continental breakfast is very tasty and the wii-fi is fast and reliable. We both slept really good too. They have some suites that provide more room but any room is comfortable.

Was in town for business. Normally stay at the standard business hotels. This place was clean, convenient to everything, good service and great value for the money.

Will most likely stay their again when I need to return to Boise.

The breakfast was nothing to write home about, but the coffee was fine.

Really handy location and good value for the price. Don't go for the breakfast, it's very basic and there are so many good places to eat close by. The Wifi was frustrating @ times, but just have to be patient. I slept really well even tho I was on the side facing the pool and road. I'd stay there again

Room Tip: Rooms facing the pool in the block closest to this area must be quietest

Update the bedding and I would have been pretty happy. Very quiet and dog friendly! The front desk staff were polite and efficient. They have a pretty steep tax in Boise that kinda made my eyes pop for the final bill. A huge place with all the needed amenities, little dated but spacious.

A $100 upfront room deposit for possible damages? OMG, we're 70 years old and can't stay up long enough to wreck anything! This depoit was not disclosed to us beforehand. The desk person shoved back to me the printout of our reservation without looking at it saying that she didn't need it. She then entered the wrong name and told us that we must be mistaken about which hotel we had reservations at. Her supervisor straightened it out eventually. The room was adequate in all respects but the mafia at the front desk and the company policies will keep us away the next time we go to Boise.

Room Tip: Try the Owyhee Hotel
