“Great for family”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

We were in Boise for the commencement at Boise State University. Our daughter had reserved eight rooms for all the family coming in for her son's graduation. The hotel was great for a rather large group like this who wanted to visit. The rooms are actually mini-suites with separate sitting and sleeping rooms. Comfortable, very clean, quiet, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. All this for a very reasonable price. The only downside to the facility is the restaurant(?). It is simply a few tables in the lobby by the bar. And the sink in the bathroom. It is trendy but square and the faucet barely reaches over the edge of the sink. Almost impossible to rinse your hands after washing them. But what they hey? Having four generations in the same room with popcorn, sodas, and wine made up for that. Thank you Holiday.

We love this hotel. We always get a great deal on Priceline that makes this hotel a bargain. The rooms are all a mini suite which makes it very comfortable for two people. The beds are very comfortable. Every time we have stayed here we have had a king bed. For this trip we booked 5 rooms and everyone loved their room! There are two minor things to complain about in this room. The square bathroom sinks -- even though very trendy and updated -- are a booger to work with. It's a chore just to wash your hands! There isn't enough room for your hands underneath the water without running into the edge of the sink. Looks nice, not very functional. This hotel also has some of the worst hotel toilet paper I have ever encountered. People have been very nice, free shuttle to the airport, free internet, two TV's in every room, somewhere to have guests come in without sitting on your bed, ample parking -- but lousy toilet paper. Come on Holiday Inn, you can do better than that! Even with lousy toilet paper, I will stay at this Holiday Inn each and every time I come to Boise if I can.

We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious rooms. A king size bed partitioned off from a sitting room with a couch and desk. Two T.V.'s were a nice bonus as my husband and I like to watch different television shows. A microwave and fridge were nice to have. I dropped an earring and while looking for it found a bunch of popcorn under the bedside table.....we hadn't had any popcorn. The bathroom was very up to date but not a lot of counter space. I did like the fact that they had a magnifying mirror There is a restaurant in the hotel and an Applebee's next door but other than that not a lot nearby. The breakfast buffet was a disappointment. Not a lot of choices and while we were they ran out of the hash browns and eggs. The two girls working the area were outside on a smoking break so there was no help most the time we were there.

Room Tip: Skip the breakfast. For ten dollars you can do much better elsewhere.

While standing in line awaiting a 4 hour delay on Allegiant Air (do not fly them, ever) the couple behind us told us about their experience at this hotel. We decided to give it a try. This is not the Holiday Inn I remember as a kid.

Room was clean and spacious
King bed for us and pull out sofa for the kids
Two tv's
Fridge and Microwave

Good experience!

This hotel is very up to date. The rooms are some of the nicer standard rooms I've stayed in. There is a sitting area with a couch and flat screen TV with a desk. Then a partition where the beds are with another flat screen. The windows have a blackout blind which I loved, when you shut that thing absolutely no light comes in. The beds were very comfortable with a good pillow selection. The rooms were above average as far as other room noise. There is a bar and restaurant downstairs, it's a little pricey but works in fix. The fitness center is one of the best I've seen for a hotel.

MadMatt8745,

Thanks for staying with us and also for the review. We appreciate feedback and love happy guests. Agreed on the blackouts. I would install them at home, but my kids might never wake up!

Travel Safe,

Travis F.

We stayed here two nights and while I liked the size of the rooms, ours had popcorn behind the headboard which we didn't bring. The pool area was nice as was the fitness area. Breakfast "buffet" is a joke.

Thanks so much for taking the time to offer your feedback. We are putting effort into our breakfast buffet and as always do offer an ala carte option for those guests who prefer.

Again, thanks for the feedback and the stay. Looking forward to having you back.

I recently traveled back to Boise, my old hometown, and stayed for the very first time at the new Holiday Inn just accross from the airport. It was very nice hotel... the lobby was bright and open as well as the dining room and bar area. All the rooms are suites which is very nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable and featured a seating area separate from the sleeping area. The room had two new tvs which were very nice. The beds were comfortable and bathroom was very modern. I had a nephew visit and he thought it was the nicest hotel he had seen. They do offer an indoor pool which was great for the kids.

Overall my stay was very good... the rooms were quiet, comfortable and clean. The service was professional, friendly and helpful. This is a nice modern hotel and a great place to bring visitors or business associates.

Room Tip: Every room is a great room.
