This Homewood Suites hotel is a large building with four floors. The spacious lobby has a fireplace and many wooden elements. When we arrived a young friendly girl was behind the front desk. We had made a reservation in advance and were soon on our way to a two-room suite.
The suite was of a proper size, in the living room a nice brown/beige sofa plus leather (look?) ottoman/table, a working desk with chair, a full kitchen with 2-burner stove and a table with two chairs. In the bedroom a good quality King bed, both rooms have flat screen TV’s. The bathroom was clean.
All dishware was in the dishwasher. Except for knives, not one in our suite! I had to ask housekeeping and immediately get some. It seemed other guests had taken several items home. (But, I think housekeeping should check this before giving the room to new guests. And as we found out later, the microwave was dirty, so the room maid who had cleaned our room had a really bad day!)
There is an indoor swimming pool, close by is an outdoor patio with chairs and tables. The business center has computers and printers for free use.
In the evening we went to the manager’s reception. There were buffalo wings and a (simple) salad. Also free beer and wine was available. When we returned to our room an employee knocked on the door and we received a basket with two bottles of water and cookies (I think for my Diamond HHonors status, we didn’t get an upgrade though).
The next morning breakfast was okay, many things to choose from. Although there were some complaints we still had a comfortable stay and would make another reservation in this hotel without hesitation if we were in Boise again. The rate for a weekday in May was very reasonable.
