We moved here from the Towneplace Suites in Meridian (separate review) and have been here over 2 weeks. Although this hotel is 10 years old, it is very well maintained inside and out. The grounds are beautiful, exterior trash cans are emptied regularly, there is parking with shade trees, and an adjoining neighborhood to walk your pooches. Did I mention it is right across from a major mall with Dillards, Macys, Kohls, Sears and J.C. Penney plus 2 stories of other shops and eating choices both inside the mall and around the perimeter. It also has easy freeway access which can be a drawback if your room faces the freeway. There are extra glass windows in the rooms on the freeway side but we face the freeway and the noise takes some getting accustomed to. Breakfast always has hot choices with eggs, potatoes and a meat selection as well as ready-made oatmeal with toppings, fruit and cold cereal choices. Monday through Thursday there is an evening reception with a light meal that includes fresh vegetables, salad, desert and soup. The staff is very accommodating and responsive to your needs. The kitchen is well equipped with a full refrigerator, 4-burner stove with oven, microwave, dishwasher, pots and pans and dishes and glasses. The 2 bedroom has 2 full baths and a fireplace, unlike the Towneplace Suites which had 2 bedrooms and 1 small bathroom. Mattresses are comfortable and the towels are thick and fluffy. Rates are competitive so you won't regret staying here.
