I stayed at the Residence Inn Boise West on a recent business trip. I have stayed at many different Marriott hotels, and I got to say this one was really nice. It seemed to be quite new (2-3 years old at most).
My room was very spacious and well apointed. They have wired internet access in the rooms and wireless in the lobby. The room was standard Marriott, but just cleaner and newer. Bed was really nice, and the shower was hot and had a shower head with several settings, which also a nice feature.
One of the best parts is the Breakfast. It was a Continental, but also had four hot meals. That day, and probably most days, was scrambled eggs, potatoes, biscuits and gravey. The hot food was not runny, and the lounge for breakfast was spacious and inviting. The staff also seemed very friendly and inviting, and some guests seemed to already know there names by heart.
The hotel has other amenities, but since I was there for only 12 hours, I did not partake,
Warning...............
My only issue: The hotel is really close to the intersection of two major highways in Boise, and you can hear traffic go by. Although it is only Boise, and traffic is not heavy, you could definetly hear it from my 1st floor room. I don't know how the second floor is, but it probably is not much different. If you are a sound sensitive sleeper, I would suggest you get a room away from the highway or do not choose this hotel.
I would definetly stay at this hotel if I every came back to Boise.
