We had heard great things about the restaurant and looked forward to trying it ourselves. The food was okay however the service was extremely slow. And it wasn't busy in the restaurant which I can cut people slack when this is the case.

The food at Angell's is excellent. The restaurant is nestled below the Qwest building downtown across from the Grove. They have some nice patio seating for cool summer evenings, but I've always dined inside.
My favorite dish is the Carpetbagger steak topped with a spicy southern rub, grilled muscles and oysters, and a creamy sauce. It's really awesome. Sometimes the cooking is really hit-and-miss [sometimes too rare, more often too well done]. Might want to ask who's cooking.
Dinners come with delivious sourdough and wheat rolls, and excellent salads or a really good chowder. This isn't a chain restaurant, so the food is fresh and cooked to order.
Prices run around $15-$30/person, depending on what you order. Great restaurant.
