"I'm sorry folks but we are out of the sausage... (5minutes later) and they told me the ribs are gone too.... (2 minutes later) and sir I regret to tell you, we don't have any more tarter sauce for your catfish... (1 minute later) mam we are out of 1/2 chickens but we do have two chicken breasts ..." First time dining there. Probably the last! It was embarrassing to rave about the restaurant to your company from out of town and then have them denied everything they wanted to eat because they were out of everything on the menu.
The poor server was embarrassed and he was honestly trying his hardest and kept our drinks coming. They were not all that busy for a Friday night in Boise (milwaukee) and yet the waiter kept insisting they were unusually busy. I also would not recommend the sweet tea. Whoever made that batch just poured two cups of sugar into each glass, nothing like southern sweet tea. BUT the huge mason jars are a great idea.
Finally a rave, I hate to say that my family and I probably wont be back, perhaps just not to that location because Mickey Ray's offered something that is becoming harder and harder to find.... And that is the fact that they have an open carry policy while you dine. They actually don't mind you coming in packing a pistol! That, in itself, is awesome. KUDOS for doing something right and upholding the 2nd Amendment right! Fewer and fewer establishments are "allowing" open carry now and that is making it harder and harder to find a place to spend my money.
Also over priced and no accommodations as well. That sucked!
