“Great food and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

Excellent quality and Quantity of food for the price. The outside seating is enjoyable when the weather is a little cooler than know.

“Great Mexican food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013 via mobile

This is our favorite restaurant for Mexican and Boise has a lot of good ones. They serve delicious sauteed veggies with every entree. The meals are well priced and the service is always great.

“Average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013 via mobile

Was good but nothing special. Had the New Mexico burrito and it was good but definitely not memorable. The service on the other hand was excellent. I don't remember our servers name but he was awesome.

“Great Food, Great Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Our family of 4 recently went to the Creen Chile for the first time. The food was great and everyone enjoyed their specific dishes. The food was very spicy especially the green sauce and I am not sure why others thought it was bland. The service was the best we have had in a while. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

“They should rename it The Bland Green Chile”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

I had read many favorable reviews about this restaurant. I had tried it once when it first opened and it was average, I read another great review months later and tried it again, it was still boring. Tried it again this last week and it was even more bland. I really wanted to like this place. I will say the portions are huge, they give you five tortilla's with your Fajita's so you don't have to beg for more like their competitors. The problem I have is with taste. The Chips were heated and nice but the salsa has no flavor, it is like putting mush in your mouth. I finally gave up and just ate the chips. The chicken fajita's were flavorless from the meat, to the peppers and onions. I do love how they give you sour cream and guacamole with the meal rather than charging you a dollar more like the competitors, but once again it is just a very bland meal. I don't think they use any seasoning at all. The place was crowded and jam packed and most people seemed to be enjoying their orders. Upon reading other reviews on TripAdvisor one person said that the waitstaff indicated they made the food bland because the Idaho patrons preferred it this way. I guess that must be it, but having gone to New Mexico and having sampled the real deal, I think this restaurant is a poor example of Southwest Cuisine. On a positive note the service was good and as I mentioned the portions were big, to bad their is no flavor. I will not go back
