“Best in Boise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2012

This is a high end restaurant with impeccable service and great food. Locals consider it expensive, but it is a bargain compared to the same quality in larger cities. Dress is business casual, although we did see other patrons in shorts and tees. They seemed underdressed for the atmosphere that Chandler's provides. Trust your waiter, ours gave wonderful suggestions.

“expected more....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012 via mobile

Friendly people! Servers, maitre d ... all friendly, helpful, efficient. Great atmosphere... open, not to noisey but not too quiet, upscale and casual, relaxed... The steaks were good, not the best ever. Its the two sides that made me groan. Creamed spinach too to salty and made w the garlic you buy all chopped up in a jar. It had that taste. We also got a baked potato ( hey its Idaho) and out it came, a tiny potato on one large plate w little cup of butter and of sour. ream to add. We just looked at it and laughed. The maitre d came over, we didnt say anything, and said that looked like it was a mistake please let him order us a second one. So they were making up for their mistake. But who is the e peditor in the kitchen who let it come out that way in the first place?

I dont know if I would return. Might explore other steakhouse choices. But they were such nice folks!

“Thanks for a lovely evening, chandler's!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012 via mobile

My husband and I recently celebrated out anniversary at chandler's... And we're happy we were there! First , the service is spot on... Everyone happy to be of help! We enjoyed the delicious rolls and salads and then got to the entrees. He had the prime rub, a generous cut cooked Just right and served with au gratin potatoes. I enjoyed the sushi grade ahi... Just seared and served on a bed of wasabi mashed potatoes.., delicious! We had told them beforehand that it was our anniversary and we received a complimentary chocolate souffle that was a truly special treat!
We ate on the patio because it was such a lovely evening.. And it was fine, but next time we will eat inside.. The decor is fun and the piano playing in the background shouldn't be missed!

“Good but not great...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

Typical steakhouse fare with all the trappings and high prices to match. Everything was good but nothing was amazing. The seafood sampler for a starter was very good, nice presentation and everything tasted very fresh. The "bone in filet" was a disappointment- not as tender as I expected. Now the housemade ice creams were all excellent! The atmosphere is nice but it tends to be very noisy when busy.

“Great place for a celbration”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012

We went to Chandler's to celebrate our anniversary. It is probably one of the most expensive places to eat in Boise, but the food is fantastic and the service is great. They have a very extensive wine list. My husband said the Cowboy Steak was the best he has ever had - but it could have easily served 3! So the people at the table next to us ordered one to share.
