The Washington Plantation B&B had everything you would desire in a B&B and more. The rooms were lovely, the food was great, the grounds beautifully cared for. But was surprised us were the extras - real flowers in the rooms (I thought they were fake but I saw some spent flowers on the floor); good bottle of wine in an iced silver holder; they used china, silver and crystal that we use for special occasions at home. I told them to count their silver because their pattern was the same as mine. We used their golf cart since none was available at the local golf course. We had fresh fruit in a silver basket for our stay. The goodie holder in the bathroom held the normal shampoo, etc., but also a fancy sewing kit, lip balm, and mouth wash. The breakfast was creative and filled you up so much you didn't need lunch. The hosts couldn't do enough for you. We were charmed and will go back.

My husband and I looked for a quiet, interesting town for a quick week-end getaway...and we found it in
Washington, Ga. We stayed at the Washington Plantation B & B and were treated like royalty! If fact, that particular weekend, in the first part of February, we were the only lucky guests. We stayed in the Planter's Room, which was the original master bedroom. It is elegantly outfitted with a canopied king bed with luxury linens and down pillows, cozy fireplace, and claw-foot jacuzzi tub. Our hosts, Tom and Barbara, were very friendly and very accommodating to every need. We had wine and cheese in the parlor in the evenings with them, and enjoyed our lively conversations. They are very passionate about the restoration of their 1800's plantation home, and it shows in all the little details that make your stay special. We were both able to relax and de-stress from our hectic city jobs in Atlanta. There is much to do and see in the historic antibellum town.....or nothing at all. Just sit in an antique rocker on the wide from porch and enjoy a glass of wine....ahhhh..it's heaven!!

I wanted to treat my wife to a bed and breakfast after our trip to Augusta. We chose the Washington Plantation Bed and Breakfast and we were happy with our choice. Barbara and Tom are warm and friendly hosts. They made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Breakfast was high class, we were too full to eat lunch. Their home is lovely and Washington is a great place to visit. It is not far from Atlanta and real close to Augusta. For veterans they offer a discount out of appreciation. Civilian or Veteran, you will enjoy the Washington Plantation and will want to tell a friend.

My husband and I visited Washington Plantation for the first time in early August and were delighted to find a wonderful B&B. The rooms are just as pretty as they look on the website and the attention to the comfort of the guests is extraordinary: excellent mattresses, the highest quality sheets and towels, all the little doodads like sewing kits, shower hats, etc., and even a silver tray of cold orange juice and banana bread outside the door to ease the path into the day. Breakfast was delicious and spectacularly presented, using fine linen, china, and crystal. The grounds are expansive and handsome, with plenty of room for a tent for a large wedding or other gathering. Even though Washington Plantation is grandly furnished with antiques, the atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming (not intimidating or stuffy). The wonderful verandah is a great place for a glass of wine.

We found Washington, GA, to be an interesting small town that gave us Yankees a real feel for the old South and its Civil War history. It makes a good stop on a trip that might include Athens, Charleston and Savannah, The Washington Plantation is a luxurious and hospitable place to stay.

My girlfriend and I experienced Washington Plantation for two nights in mid-July of 2005. What can I say? This charming Bed & Breakfast greatly exceeded our expectations. Tom and Barbara were the ultimate hosts and made us feel like part of the family. We enjoyed sitting on the porch, sipping fine wine and learning about the history of area from Tom and Barbara. Being the only guests for the weekend, we were certainly treated very special.
Due to a cancellation, we were fortunate to have the opportunity to upgrade to the Planters Room. It was an amazing room in every aspect. Oh, and the bed...it was so comfortable and luxurious...let's just say "It was to 'Di' for"!!!
Overall, the Washington Plantation was a very nice getaway and we will certainly be going back. I would highly recommend this charming B&B to anyone looking to kick back and escape reality for awhile.

We made reservations based on a friend's visit and stayed just one Saturday evening in mid July. What a great place to chill out sitting on the veranda with Washington Plantation's hosts Barbara and Tom. They were the ultimate hosts and out of the several BnB's we had stayed at over the years, this location was by far the most charming and relaxing. Staying in the Planters room was a real treat. The small town of Washington is a nice strolling town and up the road was a great historic plantation with a tour. What more can I say other than we plan to return to this truly historic Southern retreat !! OK.. so the breakfast was to die for !

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay at the Washington Plantation for our 1st anniversary. Tom and Barbara were excellent hosts and we enjoyed learning about Washington and Wilkes Co. from them. The house was definitely the most appropriately and tastefully decorated bed and breakfast my wife and I have ever seen. The Chases have an enviable antique collection that shows perfectly in their historic house. The room was extremely comfortable and had fresh flowers and fruit when we arrived. Tom and Barbara had wine and cheese waiting for us on the veranda when we were done sightseeing for the day and a bottle of champagne waiting for us in our room after dinner. We look forward to finding another excuse to stay at Washington Plantation.
