“Wonderful staff, great experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

My mom and I stayed at this hotel for several days because we had a horse competing at the Poplar Place 3-Day Event nearby. The hotel is very nice - simple, clean, convenient. The continental breakfast was great, and there were plenty of nice places to eat (and shop!) within walking distance in the town of Warm Springs. The hotel staff was very helpful. They gave us helpful advice, driving directions and even helped us print out our boarding passes for our flight back home. Overall, a great experience. We will stay here again next year! Thanks!!

This is a very simple hotel. The rates were good. We stayed here recently for a business and pleasure trip combined. The room was clean and appeared to be well taken care of. Nothing fancy but clean and neat. There was a small fridge and a microwave in the room The heat worked well. The bed was actually very comfortable. All the linens were clean and not worn.
The continental breakfast was cereal and toast. Nothing great. The last day there was no breakfast and the office was not open in the am until late. If you are planning to be here plan on your own breakfast somewhere or keep something in the room. There is a coffee maker in the room. The bathroom was clean and in good working order.
There is not a lot around this hotel as far as places to eat. There is a place called the Bulloch house which we tried but everything appeared to be fried or out of a can. Not too impressive. There is a burger place in town that was really great. Small but good burgers. I think it's called something like the Paradise grill or close to that. It was worth the walk which was about a block away. The rest of the town had just a couple of shops that were open but it was nice. Met the gentlemen and his wife who owned 2 of the shops and they were both fantastic. Overall a nice place with a good hotel.

Room Tip: Didn't really notice a big difference as there were not many rooms occupied. There are steps but...

The guest rooms were very clean and included a microwave and small refrigerator. The area is quite and very well kept. Walking distance to town and across the street from the Bulloch House Restaurant where you will want to lunch at their country buffet. Owners are very nice and the breakfast will get you out sight seeing fast.

Room Tip: All rooms are about equal.

This hotel was very basic, but it was extremely clean, which is the most important attribute in our book. Not only were the linens and bathroom clean, but behind the beds and in back of the furniture. The rates were very good. It was within a block of all of the little shops (we enjoyed the antique shop and the trading post) and within a couple of blocks of the Bullock (sp) House where we ate. The rooms had a small refrigerator and a microwave. There was a simple continental breakfast with hard-boiled eggs, mini egg-muffins, 2 cereals, OJ, milk, packets of grits or oatmeal, muffins, mini-donuts, etc, most pre-packaged. The extreme cleanliness is the reason for our 5/5 rating.

This is the second stay at Meriwether Inn for my wife and me. We enjoyed it last year and enjoyed our two night stay the first weekend in November, 2011, for Fala Day festivities in Warm Springs. Our room was clean, neat and well-appointed with two twin beds, a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. the TV and free wi fi work just fine. The people who manage the motel care about the comfort of their guests. They provide a good complimentary breakfast starting at 6:30 AM. I give the Inn extra credit because of its great location. The main street in Warm Springs is a short walk up to the corner. There are several nice git shops and restaurants in town within easy walking distance. This may not be the Ritz Carlton, but it is comparable to the national chains where we freguqently stay. We have already made our reservation for next yhear's annual Fala Day.

Room Tip: There are two stories. I prefer the ground floor, if a room is available there.
