If you are booked into the Gardens you are across the street from the lake among residents in a treed setting. We were on the lake and the view was incredible. You have a screened-in porch with two paddle fans for taking it all in. The unit is nicely furnished with good solid furniture and nice artwork. TVs in bedrooms and living room. Kitchen has all the utensils you'd ever need. Washer dryer and jacuzzi. Fishing is right outside the door (if you have the right bait - I obviously didn't!) There is a separate fishing lake too. There's also a marina, recreation area, golf and country club. Keep in mind you are almost an hour from Atlanta and when you enter the main gate you have about a ten-minute drive to get to your unit. Only after several days did I discover an east gate, but you need a good map to navigate back to main roads. When using this and going south to Callaway Gardens, part of the route to I-85 was a gravel road. All-in-all, a wonderful, peaceful place to stay.
