“Great room for the great price.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014 via mobile

Very helpful staff. Clean room, comfy bed. No hassles. Will definitely return. Pool is kind of small. Excellent location for nearby attractions. Continental breakfast was better than expected, fruit, juice, waffles, cereal for the kids.

How did this hotel rate 4 stars? The beds were cheap & uncomfortable. ONE thin ancient pillow per person. No they don't have extras. The walls & floors are so thin you can hear everyone else breathe. The bathroom.. Towel bar is 6ft away from tub over toilet. No bath mat. Cheap & stinky toiletries. Breakfast? Well maybe 20 chairs to service all guests & breakfast "area" as crowded as a London or NYC subway. Trust me... Keep driving!

We have stayed at this Econo Lodge (Econo Lodge South) several times on our way to WDW, We like to head half way the day before and spend the night in Valdosta so that WDW is a short four hour drive away. At first, you might think it's not such a great find because it's small and older. However, the owners have kept the insides updated and it's always been clean. They have a good selection for their complimentary breakfast. The pool is clean and provides some down time after driving. The exit before this exit has numerous places to shop and eat...though this particular exit is limited. The check in process is always easy and the staff have always been friendly. On a funny note, when we checked in, my six year old son accompanied me inside. While I signed the papers, he...very seriously...asked "Do you have bugs?" I think it caught her off guard..but she promptly responded " We do not..but if you have ANY problems in your room, you come right back and let me know!" I apologized...explaining that we are big fans of Hotel Impossible and he listens to Anthony. She laughed and said she watched the show all the time too. FYI...we found no bugs and had no complaints with the room. If you are expecting a high end hotel...ANY Econo Lodge isn't for you...but if you're looking for something reasonably priced that is clean and makes for a good night stay- you should give them a try.

Room Tip: For more privacy from traffic, ask for a room around back.

I loved the the price for this room. My wife and I stayed one night on our way to Orlando. I loved the price. I recommend this place and would stay again. My wife was hesitant about staying because Ive set her up in some pretty sketchy settings. Tiffany, at the front desk allowed my wife to check out the rooms beforehand which helped me convince my wife to stay. I couldn't pass up the great price.

The price wasn't too bad being off the highway. Realized a lot of people are smokers in Georgia so be specific about the room. It would be nice if they would update the flooring to tile so the smells are not trapped in once they do a remodel. But other than that the price wasn't bad for one night with breakfast. The front desk was very nice.

Stayed here April 26, 2014 on return trip from Florida. Had coupon discount book but it was Saturday night. We first tried Sleep Inn next door but very rude gentleman at desk who only said - we don't take coupons - didn't offer any other info. Went next door to Econolodge - lady told us they didn't take coupons either but she was very polite and offered us discount. Had great night and enjoyed talking to lady at desk very much.

This is an inexpensive hotel but it is near the top of that category. The staff is VERY friendly and helpful. Good place to stay for VSU events or on I-75 trips. Location is right at Exit 18 but there is NO traffic noise. Many restaurants and stores nearby.

Our room was clean & comfortable but showed some age. Everything worked well except the light over the picture. The WIFI was great and was password protected. We will stay here again when we are going that way.
