“Excellent Hampton in Valdosta, GA”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

Stayed 2 nights in the Valdosta GA Hampton inn. This is a clean, well run Hampton. The staff is very friendly and attentive without being intrusive - pure Southern Charm.
The room was very clean and well appointed. The high speed internet is indeed high speed. Flat screen TV on a swivel with a lot of channels. Ample lighting in the room. Bed was very comfortable.
Clean lobby and breakfast area. Well stocked breakfast and very nice folks attending to the area. I didn't use the pool but there were quite a few families enjoying it. Very nice gym area with quite a few machines. The laundry area is conveniently in the same area as the gym. The business center has two desk tops and a printer, as well as supplies.
Yes it is a little tricky to find the entrance - the sign is set well before the hotel entrance but it's not as difficult as a previous poster indicates. The hotel is very close to the better chain restaurants in the area and lots of fast food choices, there is also a mall within a 5 minute drive and a Walmart right down the street.
I would happily book this Hampton Inn if I am in Valdosta again.

We recently stayed at this Hampton Inn by mistake. We thought we had stayed there in the past, but were confusing it with another Valdosta hotel.
This Hampton Inn was easy to locate, not far from I-75. Getting into the hotel parking lot was not so easy. We could see the hotel, but we had entered the parking lot next door. It took several attempts and perhaps five minutes before we found the real entrance and managed to walk into the Hampton Inn's lobby. Better signage is needed.
The hotel seems to be quite new. We found the room exactly as it had appeared on line. We asked for a room with two queens and a pull-out couch on the quietest side of the hotel. That's what we got. The room was clean and the bath was a relatively generous size. The shower turned out to be very good indeed. As others have said, a small negative is that the coffee maker and ice bucket are located in the bath. We moved them both immediately. End of problem.
We had confused this hotel with another because we remembered a very nice "Hotel Happy Hour". Since this was the first Valdosta hotel that we found mentioning happy hour, we mistook it for the one we had stayed at previously. We were most disappointed in the Hampton Inn's version. Big jug wines and uninspired beer selections were just the beginning. For snacks there was a choice of peanuts or cold fried corn dough. In a hotel with 184 rooms, which we were told is often fully booked, five people thought the happy hour was worth a visit when we were there. Not at all the friendly party atmosphere that we had remembered from our other Valdosta hotel experience.
Breakfast turned out to be a lot better. All the usual selections, friendly service and fresh fruit!
All in all this error on our part turned out to be not such a big mistake. The Valdosta Hampton Inn by the Conference Center is not worth any extra $$, but quite adequate.

Really nice hotel. Freindly staff. Super clean rooms. Comfortable beds and quality linens. Flat screen TVs with lots of channels. Microwave and fridge that are impeccably clean (including the rubber seal in the fridge-I know its anal but I always check). Really good breakfast buffet and on weekdays a happy hour with free drinks and snacks-no hard lioquor but beer and wine. The fact that this hotel is part of the Hilton chain shows in the customer centric focus displayed by the entire staff. Very centrally located to any shops and restaurants you could possibly want. The only downside I encountered was that the water pressure in the shower was really low. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone.

As a regular at this hotel, I see it in all of it's ups and downs. However, there is never a time when a request or issue is not promptly addressed. The rooms have some older, noisy A/C units but most are new, quiet and effective. The facilities are excellent, staff beyond reproach, customer focus exemplary and the Managers reception a friendly, convivial end to the work day. I have mis-booked, and unlike my Albany experience, been accommodated by the staff in a friendly, courteous manner. My bill appears promptly beneath the door, all the gadgets work and TV and wifi speed and quality are excellent (can you hear me Albany?). The hotel has interior access, and I have yet to be hassled by noise or distraction. It is a simple choice to regularly re-book even after trying other offerings in the area. A little fore-thought usually nets a well-priced room and my special requests are met EVERY time! Good job guys, you are doing a fine job, consistently, and should be proud. A hint though? Cigarette butts at entrances and staff loitering at the guest access with cigarettes are a pretty poor show. Make all the access points no-smoking and move this to a place where smokers do not impact others. Otherwise, a great place to live when in Valdosta and I'll see you soon!

Room Tip: Ask for rooms with the newer AC units, and of course, the top floor is quieter but less convenient...

We were in town coincident with the clooege graduation and high school prom. The parties in the hotel made it difficult to sleep and the morning traffic in and out of the access doors woke us up earlier than planned. The rooms were clean and well equipped, but noisy.

Room Tip: Saty away from the doors, elevators and ground floor.

We had a good stay and will come back next time we go to wild adventures, but there was a few things that could be improved. The breakfast wasnt stocked that well, one of the elavators broke down, the tub in the bathroom could have been cleaner and there was hairs on the toliet. The pool was good the only issue we had was people smoking in the pool area. Our kids complained about the smell.

Enjoyed it very much. The high quality I have come to expect from Hampton. Great beds, the fold out couch in our room was a nice addition. Pool is small, but fine for the kids to take a break in. Free breakfast is always great.
