“Zany”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2009

We were told by locals that if you go after 8 AM, you'll be standing in line! So we went on a Friday morning at 7:30 AM.

The diner was just that . . . a diner. Exactly as you would imagine it. The food was really good, and very reasonably priced. The waffles were excellent . . . just a hint of cinammon? . . . and the cheese grits were awesome!

Take your sense of humor with you! You'll enjoy the menu (quips like "Pancakes are served twice a year: December 14 and December 15" come to mind).

Don't miss it on your visit to Tybee!

“Anti-customer attitude”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2009

Good: waffles were pretty good, bacon was nice and crispy. Bad: restaurant was dirty and in disrepair. Menu limited, no pancackes, sugar free syrup, whipped cream. The unforgivable part is the rudeness towards customers on the menu, telling customers to hurry up and leave after eating, and the ten dollar charge on the kids menu for messy or unruly kids. No reason for me to reward such attitude with my business.

“Breakfast heaven - still talking about it months later”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2009

We died and went to breakfast heaven at the Breakfast Club. Yes, you'll need to wait in line, possibly for a while, to get in - but OH MY GOD is it worth it. Go on an empty empty stomach...preferably breaking a 24 hour fast or something, because you might want to eat everyone on the menu. Huge portions, great food, funny menu names, hilarious staff -- and did I mention amazing breakfast food? You cannot miss the Pecan Waffle. Split one for your table and try to keep your "when harry met sally" instincts under control. ;) Eggs are amazing too - everything is, it seemed. It's the place to go for breakfast on Tybee. Fuel up there for a long day of beaching and drinking...you're gonna need it to keep up with the Tybee crowd.

“Not good. Not good at all.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2009

This is a dirty little place with a very limited (eggs, eggs, and more eggs) menu. They really need to invest some money from their much-too-high prices to renovate--or at least clean--the place. It's a '50s/'60s diner that's seen it's best days. The formica counter is worn clear through, and the carpet is coming apart, exept for the parts that have so much ground-in dirt that it's solidified. One of the counter stools (the old, round swivel stools from decades past) had broken off, and the seat was balanced upside-down on the pedestal. The first thing that greets you coming in the entrance is the smell of grease from a kitchen fan. Food was way overpriced, and service was mediocre.

“Not too bad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2009

This restaurant says that it is the best breakfast in the world, but I wouldn't say that it is the best breakfast on the beach. The best part was sitting at the counter and watching breakfast being cooked. Food was good, only a little on the expensive side. If you like fancy breakfasts or trying new things this is the place for you.
