We had lunch here on a Saturday in summer. It was busy but not crowded, they were very happy to accommodate us with a two year old in our party and we weren't the only people there with a toddler. The menu is super; I could have ordered anything off it. They have a core menu with dishes you would expect such as roast ham, fish and chips, home made burger etc. Then there is also a monthly menu which included more seasonal choices, such things as a sea food platter, then a specials board. The menu is long enough to give you lots of choice, but short enough that it gives you faith that the food is cooked on site. In fact they say on the menu that if you don't order starters, expect to wait about 20 minutes for your main dishes because it's all cooked from scratch, and the flavours of the food we ordered supported this. The food was good value for money, and I'm sorry that we didn't have dessert as there was lots of choice and it looked great. I would definitely recommend this place and I'm sorry that we don't live nearer. There is no garden but there are seats on the terrace at the front of the pub. The road is quiet and there is no car park but we had no problem parking.
