“Better than I thought”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

Because the hotel is older it is very dated....rooms were huge with large living room areas and even larger bathroom areas. We spent the day at the pool..small towels provided...pool had lots of shade with tables and lounge chairs....also had large chess and checker games with most of the pieces to play with....walked across the way for the lazer show. All in all we had a great time. Front desk folks could use customer service training and had to beg to checked in. Kept talking about being completely booked for an excuse but the parking lot was half full and the pool area with almost empty.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the larger king suites.

This is in a great setting, and while there may not be anything exceptional about the property, it has a very nice, quaint feel. The rooms were nice, and the service was very good. We especially loved the breakfast, and would recommend including it in your package.

Room Tip: Try to get an upstairs room with a view, if possible

This was a beautiful property. Very well kept. Pillows where great! It was so nice staying on the premises after the laser light show. We walked back to the hotel and missed the awful crowds and traffic. Saved us hours...The Antebellum House behind the hotel was very interesting. I really enjoyed hiking around the mountain and in the Park. The staff in dining room were some of the friendliest people I've ever met. We really enjoyed our stay there.

This was our second stay here on Memorial Day weekend and this stay suassed the first one. Rooms are clean,,service is good. Most attractions are walking distance including the sky tram to the top of the mountain. The buffet breakfast included with our package was excellent. Our large room had a private patio with one problem; the railings were spaced far enough apart so that my 2 year old daughter was able to slip through them undetected and make her way to the pool while we were still unpacking the car. The fence surrounding the pool had the same railing and she was able to slip easily through them as well. Fortunately we caught her before she was to get in the pool, but this is a potential danger that should addressed by the hotel, especially being a Marriott resort.

The Memorial Day festivities included live music on the lawn and an awesome fireworks and laser show.

It was gorgeous. The room was huge. There were rockers on the balcony. The bathroom was really large! It was totally a phenomenal experience. Breakfast--which came with our package was great! There was nothing that was wrong with this property except that wifi was free in the lobby, but you had to pay for it in your room.

Room Tip: I've stayed there on more than one occasion and all of the rooms are great!

Stopped in Atlanta as part of a vacation in the south and wanted to see Stone Mountain. Staying at the Inn was exactly what we expected. Easy way to see the park and the laser show and be able to take a break from the heat. The staff was very friendly, the area quiet. A great outdoor pool (very large and nice setting). We were able to recharge here and still access Atlanta. The rooms are large, a little dated but they fit the ambiance and are what we expected, clean (some dust in the corners if you are picky). Not a high end resort but a nice quiet spot and would highly recommend.

The location is very good if you are planning to stay in the park. The rooms are huge.

The service was poor. For these rates the service should have been allot better. People checking in at 7:00 PM still were waiting on a room. Trying to get the front desk to understand the promotion that you paid for took way to long. Eating Dinner at the Inn was hit or miss (they were not open all of teh time).
