“What a view!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

Our main purpose was to get to the top of Stone Mountain, an 825 foot climb (or ride on the Skyway). The climb itself was not bad; a person of average ability could accomplish this in 30 minutes or so. At the top we were treated to spectacular views of the Atlanta skyline and surrounding areas. Unfortunately we did not have much time so we could not get the complete Stone Mountain Experience, but we hope to explore this further in the future. Well worth the visit.

“Enjoyed our snow mountain experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

We took our family to go snow tubing at Stone Mtn.during the 3-5pm time. This was a great time and not too crowded. There is an area where you can tube with 3-5 people or by go down yourself. The tubing is a lot of fun! With the individual tubing you do have to drag your tubes with you to the top. They have a moving sidewalk to get to the top. You never really have to be in the snow. Where you get on and off is like carpet. There is a play area at the bottom separate from the tubing where kids can play in the snow. They have buckets and shovels to use. They also have an area for small kids to ride tubes on short runs and a big castle to play in. There are two large fire pits where you can buy supplies to roast marshmallows or make s'mores. In the end we got about 3 times tubing on the group ones and 4 or 5 times down individually. It was a wonderful experience and we ended up being very comfortable without snow gear.

“Snow mountain fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

We went there 2 weeks ago for Snow Mountain.
We had a great time. My little one could not do the tubing,
but he had fun playing at Snow Zone.

This is our first time visiting Snow Mountain and
we enjoyed it. Will go again :)

“We loved Stone Mountain!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

We drove to Stone Mountain early so we could get there when the skylift opened. It was a foggy day sadly, so when we headed up the mountain, you could not see much. The fog did clear for about half a minute due to the sun, but then soon went away. We still enjoyed it immensely. We came down the mountain and enjoyed walking around and looking at some things. The sad part is that in January, Stone Mountain closes many parts of the park and it was 75 degrees outside! I think they could re-think this for sure! However, the parts we did get to enjoy we really liked. We thought it was funny that people go tubing in jeans and it is very casual, but we really liked that they offered that for people. There were a lot of people jogging and biking as well which was neat.
We went to go look at the Plantation but it was closed and we were sad about that. We also went in the museum area, which we did not go into, but even the food place there was closed.
I would have given it 5 stars except for things were closed, however, not sure why they need to be closed when the weather is nice still. I think the parking price should go down if all the things are unable to be opened then.
