My husband and I stayed for two days in this hotel. From the time we entered the front lobby until we checked out, the staff was so friendly and helpful. They assisted my husband with maps and directions. The room was far more than I expected. The bedding was wonderful and we had our best nights sleep of any hotel we ever stayed in. The room was spacious and very clean. We will stay there on return visits.

Stayed there one Saturday night, choosing based on price, location and, because it was MLK birthday weekend and it was Atlanta, hotels all over the area were booked solid.

Great: Breakfast, very tasty.
Poor: Non-smoking room still had the distinct scent of Camels.
Terrible: We had two rooms. After a late night out we each phoned in for wake-up calls. Neither room got one and although I needed the sleep this set us back an hour on a busy day. Complained about this as we were checking out and the desk clerk, though otherwise helpful and courteous, conveniently went to help the next person in line without addressing our concerns.

BTW, beware of the tripadvisor traveler rating. Before my review posted this hotel had a 1, a 2, and a 5, which averages to 2-1/2, but they show 3-1/2 on their summary scale for the property.

The major problem I had was with noise. The sliding glass dooor doesn't seal well enough to block out highway or parking lot noise. That wouldn't have been too bad, though, if it were not for the fact that one of the nights I was there an extremely loud party was going on in the meeting room off the lobby. I could feel it as well as hear it. I called to complain, and the desk clerk said it was bothering, her, too, and she couldn't stop it and was thinking of calling the police. Apparently, though, she didn't call the police, because the party kept going full blast until after midnight.

The place is drab and dreary, but for the most part clean and modern. Hallways near the elevator are inexplicably narrow. The lobby is small, and there's no clean line of site across it. Tell someone that you'll meet in the lobby and you'll have to keep walking around in a circle so as not to miss them.

There were no snacks in the lobby, not even coffee.

The smoke detector on the ceiling of my room was mysteriously wrapped in toilet paper. The stopper in the bathtub was broken.

On the bright side, there was free wireless Internet, and it actually worked. There was also free access to a business center with computers hooked up to a printer, and, for the most part, they worked, too. The staff was friendly.

Although I arrived after midnight, the front desk clerk was very helpful - helped me find directions for the next morning and answered a few questions for me (when I called from my room) - she was very friendly, which is sometimes uncommon for overnight shift!
My room was great - 4 great pillows, very clean, nice couch, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron/board.
Breakfast was very good - love the cinnamon rolls & coffee cups with lids are very important! (funny how little things matter!)
After my meeting, I was able to come back and rest because they were kind enough to give me a late checkout - so nice to have.
I hadn't expected much after reading previous reviewer, but I needed to be in that area & price was right. I'm very glad I tried it!
