“Very nice comfortable cafe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2013

I've visited a couple of times. The cafe serves some delicious food, it also has nice scenery. You have a choice to either sit at a table or they also have various leather chairs and sofas next to the windows overlooking the river. It also has a good car park which is free and a minute walking distance to the cafe or motor museum. The cafe seems to be a very popular place as it is always full when I have visited which is usually at the beginning of the week.

You cannot visit the car museum without having lunch at Cafe Ambio - lovely food, well-presented, very tasty, good service, reasonable prices.

“Well worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

Been here twice now just for the café. One of these days we'll take a look in the museum too. Scones are freshly made, tasty and big. Sandwiches are very good. Café is fairly new, bright and clean and on a good day you can sit outside and watch the river. Service is fast, even on a busy day and prices very fair.

“If I lived locally would use this a lot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

My husband and son visited the motor museum and my daughter and I had coffee at Cafe Ambio next door. We were lucky enough to find the perfect table outside, with shade and a brilliant view of the river, and occasional steam trains puffing by.
We then had lunch together when they returned.
The food was good, as was the service and the location is lovely. Shame it is so far from home.

“Food with a view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013 via mobile

We visited the Lakeside Motor Museum last week and Cafe Ambio was next door. We initially had a a coffee & cake which was delicious then went back to the museum. A little later we returned as the food looked so good. My husband ordered Sunday roast & I had vegetable soup (was a little too hot in mid afternoon for me!!) neither of us were disappointed. The food was all fresh and tasted delicious. The service was quick and staff friendly. The main meals are reasonable although cakes weren't cheap but when your on holiday who cares!! Thoroughly enjoyed & will return when we go back next year.
