My husband and I needed a quick releaxed special getaway before his upcoming surgery--and this was just right. Melanie, the inkeeper, dealt easily with his special needs. Gave us just the right advice about tides, beaches, restaurants---and when we forgot one of his medications, she called us and sent it to us immediately. It's hard to beat the accomodations for comfort, style and the ocean across the street.

My husband and I stayed at Beach Bed and Breakfast for a long weekend....We had excellent service from the second we walked in the door. Melanie took care of all our needs from making us a delicious breakfast on the veranda, which over looks the beautiful oceanfront to arranging a romantic dinner on the island. We also had the convenience of beach bicycles at the Inn for which we took a day to explore the island....which is best on bike or foot-Great location, comfortable sleeping quarters (very quiet), and a view that does not disappoint. Try Delaney's Bistro, sit at the bar, and order some tapas....excellent. We will most definitely return to this oasis this fall. Thanks for everything, Meg and Tim Fulton

For a surprise birthday gift, I took my wife to St. Simons Island due to the Gulf having a bit of oil in it. We found the Beach Bed and Breakfast rather randomly through Google, so we didn't really know what to expect besides what we saw on their website.

When we pulled up, we were super impressed. The B&B overlooks the sound and is right across the street from a bulkhead that has beach when the tide is out. It's located on a quiet residential street with very little traffic. We booked an off season deal to stay in the Governor's Suite, and we felt like royalty. We had a veranda to ourselves that overlooked the water and the house felt like it was ours (not sure if there were any other guests there at all).

The innkeeper, Melanie, was very accommodating. She even cooked us breakfast to order and delivered it to our room so we could have a private morning. She also let us use beach stuff on the day that we checked out. When we dropped it off, we were able to use the downstairs shower too! That made a long car ride home much more pleasant.

The TV room is not to be missed. Even though we only got about ten minutes into a movie before we fell asleep, it was very cool to watch a movie on the HUGE TV. I'm sure watching sports there would be too much fun.

We'll definitely be back.

Incredible location, breathtaking interior, and with a staff that personifies classic Southern Hospitality, the Beach Bed and Breakfast is the ultimate in undisturbed luxury! It is truly a gem on this beautiful island. We were continually blown away by the charming details of this charming BB & B; everything from the colorful, ocean-themed murals to the cozy white robes seem to be set up for royalty. Be sure to check out the Governer's Suite if you're looking for something truly exceptional. The location of the BB & B could not be more ideal; the beach is literally right outside the front door, and St. Simon's small downtown district and lighthouse are only a couple blocks away. Larry especially made our trip to St. Simon's memorable with his easy, friendly demeanor. His knowledge of the island led us to some of the best experiences of our trip, including our bike trip to the northern part of St. Simon's (highly recommended) and our visit to the historical Christ's Church. Thanks again, Larry, for making our visit to Georgia fantastic!
Overall, we highly recommend the BB & B for anyone looking for a memorable getaway - We definitely plan on returning.
