when you are finally able to walk in the front door you are greeted by a canoe full of cold beer on ice. it continued to go uphill from there. this is a gem of a restaurant and as crowded as it's popularity and good graceful dining has let it become it is still worth the wait, every time. this is one of the few, read only i've ever seen, that offer a bbq vegetarian meal, a delicious portabella mushroom. the pork is pit smoked, bountiful, well sauced, and wood fired to perfection. the sides are many and varied but always in large helpings. this is an upscale bbq joint so don't look for saw dust or farm implements, but the bbq is tasty, well presented and down right inspired. do not miss the mac n cheese! plus it's a fun place to dine. go! you'll have a great time.
