“Really nice!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2014

We saw the room on booking.com, for $36, but they said we had to book it online for that price - no problem...sat in the lobby and booked it. Free wi-fi, free breakfast, very, very clean room, fridge, remodeled bath and sink area. Awesome value!

My wife and I checked into this hotel on the evening of 27 December 2013 for a 3-night stay. Upon arrival, we were charged $79.95 per night, though we were quoted a rate of $49.95 per night when we made the reservation via telephone on 24 December 2013. We were also given a remote control for the television, as the clerk informed us that the one for the room was missing.

On the morning of 28 December 2013, we were rudely awakened by the housekeeping staff at 7:36 a.m. when they attempted entry into our room. This despite the fat that we had the "DO NOT DISTURB" sign inserted in the lock. Following that, my wife attempted to partake of the "complimentary" breakfast at 9:15 a.m. only to find that the staff was removing the food from the area. When she inquired as to the situation, she was rudely told that breakfast ended at 9:30 a.m. (15 minutes after she arrived). While my wife attempted to get breakfast, I located the missing remote control for the television in between the sheet and the duvet. This find indicated that the bedding had not been changed when the previous guests had checked out (if the bedding had been changed, the remote control would not have been made into the bedding).

We brought these concerns up to the "Manager" and our concerns were dismissed. We immediately checked out of the hotel and secured a reservation at a nearby establishment for the same rate for a much nicer room with far superior customer service. They should be ashamed at the performance of the staff. We shall never again stay at this dump and will be sure to let everyone we know know of our concerns.

Room Tip: Don't stay here...there are 2 hotels nearby that are much nicer and a better value.

Traveling from NC to Orlando we knew we were going to be tired so we made reservations to stop overnight, I made reservation for two adult and two kids, I was told that there would two queen beds in the room. Upon arriving there the lady at the front desk who had an attitude and was very rude let me know that I her reservation sheet had only two adult and I had to pay extra for the kids, this after we confirmed the reservation before going there. I felt violated because it was later and there was nothing that I could do but pay the extras and get my kids in a room that was undoubtedly crappy rundown joint. The rooms was small and dingy ... heck it was as small as one of those cabins on a cruise ship. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN.

Great for the price. The WiFi is the fastest I've ever had. The room is bigger than expected. We stay here to break up the drive from Florida to North Carolina, and visit Savanahn the second day. If you have the same purpose, this place will be perfect.

Was very pleased with our overnight stay here. The Inn is obviously aged but management's maintenance of it is very good. It's clear that they have made some modernizing upgrades as well as some decor improvements to give a mor comfortable appeal. The breakfast included was very good with sausage and biscuits, waffles and a selection of cold items. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Is passing through Savannah again, I will definitely consider another stay here.

This Inn is showing signs of age in the rooms but is clean and well maintained. The rooms are also very large. The staff are very friendly and the reasonable room rate includes breakfast. It is near highway 21 and close to 95, which is convenient, but also means there is road noise through the night. Savannah is easy to get to. There are no restaurants other than fast food nearby.

We stayed here on our way to / from Florida. (Friends had stayed here a couple of months ago, said it was ok for a night's sleep.) It was clean, and cheap, but it is a motel, not where I would usually stay, but it served the purpose. the front desk girl was friendly, the morning breakfast did not tempt us to eat but we had some juice and tea. Driving south our room was in the back, quiet except for a minor problem with the smoke alarm, which was handled in a reasonable time. the stay on our way home was a front room, and you were very aware of the traffic. Happily I travel with my own pillow as the ones provided were small and hard, but the bed was comfortable. One note, there was a heavy talcum powder smell one night which might have been from some kind of tablet put in vacuum cleaners. Bottom line, I would not say it was the best choice, but it served the purpose. Given the same travel itinerary we probably would stay again.
