“overpriced average room Not what we expected”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW

We had just stayed at The Country Inn and Suites in Stone Mountain GA and we were very pleased so naturally we chose another Country Inn for our next stop. NOT even close.. we paid DOUBLE for half the room and service. The place was empty on a Saturday which should have been our first warning. Our room and bathroom were small but clean. Continental breakfast bare minimum in comparison to the Stone Mountain location. If we had paid $80.00 like we did for Stone Mountain I would have been ok BUT we paid $145.77 for one night for a room worth 80 if that. Great view of the hotel next door..:-(

We enjoyed our stay here and received wonderful service from the front desk. Special attention was given by Deanna Peacock and Ursella. They went out of their way to call a restaurant about letting us pick up BBQ sauce. So appreciate their help! We would stay here again when traveling. Thank you so much!

Driving home we stayed one night. Check in with Cheryl was very easy and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Got directions from Cheryl and headed to FATZ for an early dinner. Great place had a great time. Mrs. Barbara Nettles took care of all her customers in the morning for coffee and breakfast. Traffic is a little busy but would stay here again.

We stayed here for one night on 11 Apr. We were satisfied with our room, our king bed was comfortable and having a door separating the bedroom and living area provided privacy and separation between us and children sleeping on the sofa bed. TV's were large clear. Bathroom was clean and toilets did indeed have a "superflush" quality to them but shower leaked a bit at the faucet. Breakfast was typical fare but well done and very well maintained and kept up with by the staff who were very friendly and polite.
Only real complaint was about the pool. We stayed there specifically because of the indoor pool as we like to stretch out and relax after a long drive. Unfortunately, while the pool was open, the pool area was undergoing maintenance, most obviously in the ceiling and ventilation. Apparently the pool heater was also being replaced (deduced by box sitting in hallway outside of pool area that said pool heater) because the pool was too cold for my wife and I to swim in. Hot tub was warm but not hot and provided limited relaxation because of the maintenance appearance. It would have been nice to have been notified either on the website, when we called to make reservations or even when we checked in that the pool was not ready for prime time.
Overall, nice room, comfortable, clean and friendly but if you plan to use the pool then you might want to ask some pointed questions and make sure it is ready for use.

We were traveling home from Florida and were tired from being in spring break traffic all day. We stopped to rest for the night. Most hotels along I-95 were booked and when we stopped at this one they had 3 rooms available for the price of $229.00! Highway robbery- literally! It's a shame management will increase rates to take advantage of people. (Rates this morning are $105) I must say, the outside of the hotel was nice and even the lobby was nice. The problems start when you walk into the room. The first thing we all noticed was a horrific smell. A combination of mildew and urine. The carpet was dirty and curtains were old and dirty as well. Mattress was okay but couldn't get comfortable because the air conditioner never worked right and my husband and I both stayed hot all night even with multiple adjustments. The furniture was outdated and scratched. The room overall just felt dirty. We itched all night although we never saw any bugs. As my son said, the only thing good about this place was the super-flusher toilet!

Driving from Wisconsin to Florida was too much for us to handle with the terrible traffic and construction. We opened up the map and chose to head East to Savannah. We were very comfortable our two nights at this hotel and really appreciated the full, hot breakfast each morning. The morning room attendant Barbara N. was especially friendly in a most genuine way! She made us smile even before we were fully awake. Our kids enjoyed the pool and while we did not use the workout room, were glad it was an option. We would stay again if we return to the ares.
