“Nice 1 nite stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2014

Checked in on March 21 about 630 pm , went very smoothly and was In my room within 10minutes. Your king rooms are very nice , bed was comfortable . Bathroom was large and clean , although could use a little updating , ( not meant as a complaint ). Overall was very satisfied and would stay there again next time in Savannah

We in fact got two rooms for the number of family that was with us, and we were conveniently next to each other. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. The rooms were both clean and given extra towel and wash cloths. The beds were comfortable and the carpets clean. It was nice having a refrigerator and microwave to use. We all had a great experience and fun time, and by staying here made it extra enjoyable. Also can't forget about morning breakfast and great atmosphere.

Room Tip: The use of an elevator close to the entrance of the hotel makes it quick and easy to get to your roo...

Doug @ the desk was a GR8* helpful check-in fellow! Nominated for"employee of the day"
We drove to the RR in E.Columbia, SC where we've stayed B-4, but it was still light@ 5PM,
so MONICA @ the desk there was VERY HELPFUL -> she called this RR in Savannah Ga. by the airport, and talked to our" new best friend"Doug, who held a room for us.when we arrived about 8PM. had the coffee & "pop-corn machines all fired up for a bed-time snack &, We liked the inside entry RR layout. Bkfst in the AM was handy too & Sunil @ the desk, showed us all the options. They are re-modeling this unit also. We'll be back next trip passing by.
Tin -> Just a short easy drive into Savanah for sight-seeing.

Room Tip: Exit I-95 & look for the Sam's Club and pull in there !

We booked this hotel ahead of time and arrived after 8PM, so we couldn't cancel. Had we arrived earlier, we would have never stayed. Got our room keys, brought in our luggage and instantly found out the sink was clogged. I went to the front desk asking for another room, or unclog the sink. We were given another room and this one was in worse condition than the first. Missing tiles in the bathroom floor, poor paint job in the rooms, 2 light bulbs were burnt out over the sink. The mattress were very poor - not a lot of support. The television was a nice flat screen 40 inch, but without HD in the rooms, it was useless having these to watch standard definition channels. Woke up the next morning to find out that weekend breakfast ends at 9AM (this wasn't told to us, nor posted conspiciously). Usually properties extend their breakfasts to 10 AM on weekends. I had to wait for the desk clerk to finish putting breakfast items away in order to check out. When I asked for directions to a nearby church of my faith, he was unable to recommend one - "you gotta go into Savannah for THAT" was his reply. I was ready to unload on him about my stay, waiting for the question most hotels ask "how was everything?". NOT THIS PLACE. They must KNOW they're terrible, because all they asked me was "ya wanna receipt?" and looked put off when I said, "yes". No value for the $77+ I spent for the night. There are plenty of other hotels within 2 exits either way (north or south). Major name hotels you'd be happier with.

Room Tip: Ask to see the room before you book/pay for the room.

This is the third year in a row that we have stayed at this motel, when we've come down for the Bike Week motorcycle races. The price is great, and the rooms are basic but clean. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. We love the outdoor landscaping, too.

The heavy snows of Valentine's week cleared just before we arrived at the Red Roof Inn near the Savannah airport. We chose this hotel purely for the fact it allows dogs free and features a gym. When we arrived, we were greeted promptly and received our room keys. So far, so good. Then we went to the room; left our dog; and then went back for the luggage. When we returned he had found a package from MacDonald's under the bed, and it still had french fries, so he was trying to eat them. I don't even want to think how long that had been there!

After dinner that I night I found the gym and saw the most pitiful gym equipment I have ever seen. The elliptical machine had plastic parts (really) and didn't work. There was a guy trying to lift weights in the same room, and he was having trouble with those too. I went to the desk to get help and found the manager outside with a couple of smokers. I asked him about the gym, and he pointed out one of the smokers who apparently was the maintenance man. I asked politely for help, which he did not want to do, but with a little forceful language finally got him to accompany me back to the gym. He couldn't make the elliptical work, and the guy doing weights had no luck either.

We were very disappointed with the motel; it was shoddily built, run-down, and unhygenic to say the least. Won't try another RR Inn.

Dirty carpet, old tattered blanket, no decaf coffee in room. I was told you had to have a king suite to have in room coffee. They allow pets which is fine but there were loose dogs in the 3rd floor hallway. A lot of noisy kids. Someone had been drinking a lot also. The breakfast there was so-so. Would never stay at this flophouse again.

Room Tip: Just do not stay here.
