“A nice relaxing atmosphere ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

We decided to spend the day here and overall we really enjoyed it. I think we would enjoy it more in the spring though. There are lots of walking trails which was really nice and we really enjoyed the prey bird show. In my opinion $18 per person was expensive.

Thank you so much for leaving your feedback regarding your stay with us here at Callaway Gardens but specifically the Mountain Creek Inn. Guest feedback whether it is positive or negative is very important to us as it is our main method for celebrating our successes or addressing our opportunities to improve our guest experience.

With regards to your comments about prices, as a destination the prices are very competitive if not better than other locations. It takes a great deal to provide such a beautiful location to visit. As a non-profit organization dedicated to environmental education and land stewardship, events such as these help us continue the mission of Callaway Gardens. We hope that you will continue to support Callaway Gardens.

“Fall on the Mountain”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

Calloway is always so beautiful in the spring but it doesn't compare to the leaves changing in November. The gardens were full of birds and The Butterfly Exhibit is always so much fun to stick your head in. They are getting ready for Fantasy in Lights so watch the winding roads. When finished in the gardens make sure to tool up the mountain. Fall on the Mountain is truly beautiful. Great to have this place right in our own backyard!

“Beautiful retreat of pure nature”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

First visit to Callaway Gardens was this summer when we took travel trailer to FDR State Park. I really had no idea what to expect so I was pleasant surprised to find Callaway is a beautiful woodsy, all nature park. You feel like you are in deep woods from the moment you drive in. Miles and miles of wonderful woods that are well taken care of. You can bike, hike, walk, drive. Butterfly House was lovely. Everything is peaceful and quiet. The beach area was very nice and had lots of families. Looked fun. There is a zipline and my friend did part of it. The Victory Garden was a favorite of mine. It was absolutely amazing. We bought a yearly pass so we can see the lights at Christmas and then go back in spring for the flowers blooming. They also have a hot air balloon festival each Labor Day holiday. There is something for everyone here. Well worth your time.

“Beautiful Butterfly House”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2013

We toured the butterfly house and the horticultural gardens. They are both very well done. The gardens had a display planted for football season and different mascots all in plants in flowers. Very Well Done!

We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed the Butterfly Center and the Sibley Horticultural Center as well. The Sibley Center currently has the mascots of many local colleges made of topiary. The Butterfly Center is also a great place to visit. There are always things to see and do and learn about here at Callaway Gardens. Your business and time spent with us is appreciated. We look forward to having you return again.
