Of course I have not stayed in each lodging establishment along 75 but this has to be hands down the best little motel ever! We were in need of a one night's stay en route to ATL. We called while in Tallahassee and inquired about the room rate. We were told $63 (as I recall). I asked about the age of the property and was told it was seven years old.
Our top two choices were Hampton Inn and the Jameson based on the handful of places right off the interstate. When we arrived in Perry, since we knew nothing of the Jameson, we checked out the Days Inn and the Best Western/Bradbury Inn & Suites. Don't bother with those two. We didn't even stop by the Hampton after that, deciding we'd rather not spent $100 for a few hours rest.
The Jameson was sparkling clean! Inside and out. It is a family run establishment and boy do they keep it in tip top shape. Everything in the room was super clean, I noticed the exterior surfaces (columns, walls, light fixtures) were all very clean. Accessing the free wireless was super easy.
This particular property was a two story, two building motel compared to some others we saw on our road trip that were hotels and larger.
Continental breakfast the next morning was served in none other than the super clean community dining room. Cereals (hot and cold), muffins, fruit, mini-sausage biscuits, coffee, juice, etc. Everything you need for a good little breakfast. There is a view of the swimming pool from this room.
I was so pleased with the Jameson that I said to my husband and mother-in-law "I could have stayed here a week!"
Highly recommend the Jameson in Perry!
