“Nice with Extremely friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

We had a house fire and had to live here for a month. It was so nice and the friendliness of all the staff made a difficult time much better. Lots of nice touches such as good breakfasts, complimentary light dinners with a glass of wine or beer on week nights, pretty environment and convenient location to all kinds of shopping.

Linda,

It was our pleasure to accommodate you during such a stressful time. We're glad we were able to make a difficult time a little easier.

We know you are happy to be back home and settling back in - we apologize that we won't be there to provide daily meals or housekeeping. :-)

You are welcome to stop by for coffee or to say "hello" anytime.

I attended a wedding in Atlanta this August, and we had a block of rooms at this Residence Inn. From check-in to check-out, I was very impressed by the service and facilities. When we got to our one-bedroom suite, it was large and well-equipped (including dish soap, etc.), and the towels folded into a swan on our bed added a welcome touch of luxury. The next morning, the staff member at the check-in desk greeted me by name when I came down! Breakfast was good and included make-your-own waffles. The staff were consistently accommodating of our family's requests and large gatherings, despite the messes created by our youngest travelers. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I will very likely stay here again the next time I'm in this part of Atlanta.

To top it all off, the stay was a great value!

I was our pleasure to host you and the rest of your family and friends for this occasion! We're glad everyone had a wonderful time and that you all (or "y'all") were able to spend some quality time together as you gathered throughout the hotel.

We look forward to having you and the other family members here for the next event!

Rooms were nice, a wee bit dated and my room was missing a working smoke detector and the air conditioners are loud! Other than that, the grounds were well kept, the staff friendly. Breakfast was nice. Only stayed 3 nights, for business, but it was a pleasant experience.

Room Tip: Top floor suite was nice, because no one was above us! I think a 3rd floor room on the end would be...

I stayed here for two months and had to change my own bed sheets. The staff pretends to only speak Spanish, and the cleaning ladies only leave towels and shampoo when they "clean your room". Maybe the first floor experience is different, but the air conditioning system wakes you up every hour, on the hour, and breaks down twice a week. The breakfast and dinner hours are a plus, but the women at the help desk are LESS than helpful, and don't depend on the cleaning staff for anything. A better bet is the Homewood Suites across the road. Not worth your money, and certainly not worth the hassle.

I am disappointed that your experience does not align with others who have previously posted comments. Our goal is to exceed every guest's expectations, especially during a long-term stay. Our staff is multi-cultural and many are bi-lingual, but all are able to effectively communicate. I apologize that you were not able to express your concerns to me during your two month stay - we do provide daily housekeeping service (unless the "Do not Disturb" sign is displayed), beds are made daily and sheets are changed twice a week or more if requested, towels and supplies are provided during service to your room.

I would love the opportunity to discuss this with you in more detail. At your earliest convenience, please contact me directly at the hotel.

I have a family of 6 (including me) and this spacious location gave us a week long comfortable vacation stay. The beds were comfortable. Every morning the hotel had hot breakfast... Waffles, French toast, fresh fruit, oatmeal, eggs both scrambled and boiled, toast, and a variety of breakfast items. One of the moments to capture about breakfast..my son is allergic to eggs but the hotel had breakfast burritos with eggs :( he loves burritos! I ask the young lady if she could possibly make a burrito without eggs...without hesitation she did!! That was awesome! With a family of growing boys this was most definitely great!! Also, they had a nightly social with appetizers, free wine and beer included. The basketball court and pool were a plus for the boys! For the parents, the two bedroom suite rooms give the privacy you need to have your own mini vacation (smile). For the pet lovers, the hotel is pet friendly! I gave the hotel a four star due to the location of the hotel and the lack of shuttle service to and from the Marta which was only about 15 minutes away. Also, for the new generation iPods are prominent.. I thought it to be strange iPod docks were not in the room. There should be an iron and ironing board in each room. I would challenge the rates for the hotel, especially folks staying at least 5 days or longer!! Anyway, overall I would definitely stay here again!! Jeff Welch has a great crew and they all seem very happy!!

It was such a pleasure to have you and your whole family with us for your vacation. I'm glad we were able to customize a few items so every one could enjoy the meals.

We also enjoyed hearing about the "adventures" of the previous day. Looking forward to having you back again next time!

I can't say enough about this hotel. We will definitely make a point to stay here again. The suites were very comfortable, the meals (both breakfast and supper) were more than adequate and the pool was very nice--water temperature just right. Starting with Jeff, right on down, the staff was great!

Thank you for staying with us and sharing your comments. We're glad you were able to enjoy the suites, meals, and amenities. You may not think it is necessary in "Hot-lanta" but having a heated pool does keep that temperature "just right"...

Hope to see you back here again very soon!

You can go several directions when reviewing a hotel stay. You can focus on the part of your experience that is really in control of the hotel or you can divert off on to aspects of your stay that might have been marginally impacted by other factors--weather or other guests for instance.

I choose the former. Check-in was friendly and professional. We were located on the top level (3rd floor) in the building on the right side of the property. The cooling system was great and very quiet.

We had a 2 bedroom for an amazing nightly rate of $105 plus tax. There was plenty of room for the 2 of us and our 3 sons. The property is a somewhat older Residence Inn but has obviously been thoroughly remodeled and our room 334 was in very good shape. Only wish was that one of the rooms had a king bed instead of the queen but we were aware of this before our stay and decided that it was not an issue due to the ability to have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms at such an amazing price. We found the bedding quite comfortable. Having a full-size fridge even if it is only for 2 nights is always a plus. We even used the oven to warm up some cinnamon rolls that we purchased at IKEA. Housekeeping did a great job.

The complimentary breakfast was very good. We found the scrambled eggs to be delicious. There are many choices. The meat was different for the 2 days of our stay. Variety is always good. My wife thinks that I am nuts but I really loved having the availability of fountain soft drinks for breakfast. The boys enjoyed the additional choice of chocolate milk. Any property that serves the milks in cartons instead of pitchers gets a big thumbs-up from us. So much easier and convenient for the guest. The gentleman that many mention on here, Jeff was out and about on Saturday morning interacting with guests...keeping the tables clean and assiting folks. I have never seen this where management actually is there in the trenches at breakfast. This is a first class move on his part. And though our family's interaction with Jeff was brief (yes my boys were happy that the Reds beat the Braves), our impression is that he genuinely cares about his hotel and the well-being of his guests. Again, very classy. My last point on the breakfast......there were all types of choices and folks who find it wanting must be extremely particular if they cannot find anything to enjoy from eggs, sausage or ham, potatoes, waffles, french toast, oat meal, fruit, pastries, bagels, toast, and 3 varieties of cereal.

The pool area was of a decent size. Be aware that a large group can (at any hotel) sometimes try and dominate the pool area by being excessively loud and somewhat rude. We saw this on Friday afternoon but we were fortunate that they left about 25 minutes after we arrived. Not a big deal and not really that a big of a deal in the overall scheme of life.

In summary, an older facility that has been modernized in most every way. Well-run and a great bargain considering the tremendous value that one receives for the price. Highly recommended by our family. We would definitely return when in the area.

Room Tip: If you are an extremely light sleeper ask for the building on the left away from the highway.

I believe the Braves split the four game series with the Reds while you were in town :-)

Hopefully you filled your trailer and got some great bargains at IKEA. I'm glad you enjoyed the Breakfast, service, and amenities like the pool (the weather was not very cooperative).

Thank you for sharing your comments. We hope to see you back during the playoffs (?).
