IHOP is one place that is not consistent from one place to another. Because of franchise and not corporate ownership, it seems, the quality control is not across the board at all places.
This is one of the better IHOPs I have visited. My wife and I and 15 month old grandson visited for an early Memorial Day Weekend Sunday Breakfast. Frank was our waiter, and was at our table quickly, but we were early enough that it was not too busy.
The menu was exactly the same as the one we have when at home 500 miles away, so it was interesting to see how what I normally like to get would be presented. Unlike a place like Cracker Barrel that has photos posted in the kitchen to show what the presentation of each selection is to be like, it does not appear to be that way at IHOP. The pancakes I ordered came on a plate that was barely larger than the pancakes - it required a dinner plate. However, my eggs and turkey bacon were on a dinner plate. One thing I like a IHOP is all the syrups... and Frank even brought warm maple syrup. There was a but of communication problem with our waiter, so we did not get fresh fruit for our grandson as he likes mostly berries, and he described it as mostly melons which are to much for just 4 teeth!
I must say Frank was attentive, the hostess was very kind and welcoming ... so high marks can be given for staff. Food marks were about average for IHOP, or I should say "on par." The variety of pancakes befits a place with "pancake" in their name - it is hard to choose...but we did manage.
