This is the second time I have stayed at a Wingate Inn and was once again pleased with the hotel overall. Nice, clean, large, and comfortable rooms and very affordable. Free high speed internet, free hot breakfast and this one was a close proximity to the Cobb Galleria, which is where I had business. The front desk staff were very friendly and allowed me to check in a few hours before the official check in time. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I booked two room three months prior to my stay. I requested to have the two rooms be adjoining rooms due mother traveling with us with medical problems. I was told I would have two adjoining rooms. Upon arrival I went to the front desk to check in. After the clerk took my name and started processing the check in the phone rang. The attendant picked up the phone and stayed on the phone for fifteen minutes booking rooms and answering questions. All the while I stood in front of him not getting checked in. After the clerk got of the phone he took another 15 minutes to complete the check in process. When he handed me the keys I noticed the room numbers were not sequencial. When I asked about adjoining rooms the clerk looked at me with a puzzeled look. Then checked the computer and told me they were completlely booked. We went up to the rooms and when we opened the door the smell almost knocked us down. We tried deodorizer, air freshener, candles and carpet fresh and could not get rid of the smell. The air conditoiner was not working properly and the rooms never coold down. The beds were small and hard as a rock. We were there for an event and got a special rate but it wasn't worth it. I can't believe they charge as much as they do when you could go to a Motel 6 and pay thirty dollars a night for better accomidations. When I called for new batteries for the remote control in my mothers room. The clerk told me I could come down and get them but they didn't have anyone to send them up. There are plenty of other hotels in this area to choose from. And if I had to do it again I would, but do to the event I didn't have many options at the last minute.

The hotel is in a non-descript location, but it is nice, very clean, and well-maintained. I think it might be new. My room had a king, and was spacious with a large, comfortable sitting area. Also had a mini-fridge, microwave, and small coffee-maker. A hot breakfast is included in the lobby.

This is a good place to stay -- close enough to Atlanta without the cost. Also, the square in Marietta is a delightful place to spend an afternoon.

A nice place. The only problem was that I discovered a used ---wrapped over the top of one of the bed's posts. We told the manager and he was prompt in getting it resolved.
