We were stopping over in Marietta on way to Florida from Ohio and had read and seen about the restaurant on DDD on the Food Channel. After driving all day we wanted a drink of some kind and was not sure a "diner" would have that so I called. Wine and Beer are served as the diner name is kind of a misnomer-it looks like a diner, but is really just a nice casual restaurant.
We had heard the portions were large and since we don't eat a lot anyway so we inquired about sharing an entree and that was fine. This is what we had for $16.95- Fresh warm loaf of bread, two pieces of spinach pie (both comps) a 10oz sirloin, a large baked potato, creamed cauliflower, mushroom caps, summer squash medley, four large onion rings, greek lemon chicken soup(excellent) and a house salad. My wife had the soup, I had the salad and the rest of the food was split by the server nicely on two large plates and it was plenty. The steak was just ok, but you can't expect a filet taste from a sirloin so wasn't expecting more. Great service, good food and a great value.
