“Some love, us...not so much”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2012

Our best friends absolutely love this old establishment on Johnson Ferry. (Think they are on the third or fourth owner). I find their dishes to be incredibly garlicy and just kind of lacking. (and I'm married to an Italian, so I'm a garlic fan). Tha atmosphere could use some updating and the service is just fair.
Still, they usually have a good crowd, so there must be something that people like. I suggest giving it a try yourself.

“What do people see here?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2012

Ok, we're not foodies, but can appreciate a good Italian meal. Here, not so much. The two times we've come, we just shook our heads and said why do people like it so much? As far as we're concerned, a step up from Olive Garden.

Very small restaurant and you feel like you're on top of your neighbors. Sometimes the wait staff is good, sometimes not. The food is mediocre at best.

Go again? Probably not!

“Very Nice Meal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2011

We hadn't been here in several years so we decided to go back for our anniversary. My wife had the Eggplant Parmigian which was delicious, well prepared and very fresh. I had the Grilled Lamb Chops- I was a little reluctant to order them as I am pretty particular when it comes to lamb but our server highly recommended them and they were wonderful. The 3 chops were excellent cuts of meat and were thick, juicy, and with just the right amount of spices. Our server was very friendly and attentive and made an excellent wine recommendation. Overall a very nice meal with excellent service.

“Pricey, but oh so yummy!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2011

My husband and I went to La Strada for our first visit Saturday night. Our server presented the specials like she was delivering a compelling monologue, giving details about how items were prepared and prices. La Strada is very close, intimate and quite romantic, if you can ignore the NAPA Auto Parts sign glowing through the front window. Our meals were fantastic from appetizer (blackened scallops) to salad/soup to entree - very original specials and classic menu choices. It's a bit pricey, but we felt it was worth it...we both had leftovers that we thoroughly enjoyed the next day. No, we won't go every weekend, but we'll definitely be back for very special occasions. La Strada is magnifico!
