The Marietta, Ga. , Theater in the Square is truly a gem and great gift to the Atlanta suburbs. Their productions, often including Equity actors, are usually of a quality not always found in community theater. This is very well demonstrated in their powerful, current offering of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize winning play, "Rabbit Hole."
The theater, small, intimate and comfortable, with its recently acquired soft seat, presumably from a shuttered cinema, has excellect sight-lines throughout.
Their seasons offer a good mix of drama, comedy, small musicals and some perennial local favorites. They also are courageous in offering dramas that can be disturbing and challenging, especially in the adjunct Alley Theater.
My work often takes me out of the area, but I am a dedicated promoter of this genuinely high level contributer to the art of the theater.
