I just joined the Priority Club and called in about booking a hotel for a weekend in Atlanta. The Crowne Plaza Marietta had good rates so I went for it. They ICH guy on the phone convinced me to upgrade to Club Level for only $5 extra and I was told that It would be quiet, larger and would be key access only. Pretty sweet for $5 extra.
Upon arrival, it was fantastic. They gave us free drink cards and were so pleasant. But, we didn't have key access, even though the sign outside the elevator on our floor said "Club Level." No big deal, no key, who cares.
Then midnight came and a bus of marching band kids unloaded at the hotel and onto our floor slamming doors, screaming down the hall. I was really confused since I was supposed to be on the Quiet Level. After two phone calls, the staff refunded us our money and apologized. They called after they sent a security guard up to check on us, but they were high school kids, what can you expect.
I was not mad at the hotel staff but rather at the ICH guy for misleading us to believe that this was an adults only floor where we'd be undisturbed. Instead we had a bunch of High school kids being high school kids on our floor and we could hear their entire conversation and yells running, etc.
Basically, don't trust club level at this hotel, as it doesn't exist and make sure you don't have a marching band. Although the staff was great, the misleading info from the get go made our stay less than pleasant.
