Description: Sonny's BBQ offers a variety of barbeque meats, including St. Louis Cut Ribs and Sonny's Signature Baby Backs, Pulled Beef Brisket, Pulled and Sliced Pork, Sliced Turkey, and Chicken, all smoked slowly over a hardwood fire. Today, with 126 restaurants in nine southeastern states, Sonny's BBQ is one of the largest, most popular barbeque chains in the country. Our secret? We cook it up slow and serve it up fast and friendly.

“Good place for bbq”

Traveling through the area a group of friends and I stopped for some BBQ. We were pleased with the food quality and value. Service was friendly. It was well worth the stop to get good food.

“A Touch of Southern BBQ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

A pleasant surprise on the way from Atlanta and Athens, Sonny's was the first restaurant on the right as we came off the interstate looking for lunch. A full menu of barbeque with four sauces to cover the meat will make your mouth water in anticipation. A bit of a wait was worth it with three choices of ribs that were cooked just right. Choose a couple of sides and you will have a meal that fills you to the brim. Fresh cornbread adds to the whole experience and gives you a handle for cleaning up the sauce on your plate. Moderate prices and a pleasant staff make this a place for a second round. If Sonny is there, ask him how he got started in the BBQ business.

“Good BBQ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

On Sundays bring in your church bulletin for 10% off your dinner. Always fast friendly service and more than enough to eat. The pulled pork BBQ is good and satisfying. Sonny's is a chain restaurant, but the food is consistent and the staff is responsive. Prices are reasonable, for $25 my husband and I both are full and have food for another day.

“Just average”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2012 via mobile

I arrived here 6 pm on Friday night and was seated right away. Happy to see they had a salad bat. I ordered the trio pork meal ribs, pulled and sliced. The pulled was great I always thought you can eat ribs right off bone ifdone right. Not the ones I got I tried to chew them off since I didn't get a knife but had a lot of trouble. I do have to say chewing meat off the bone is not my favorite thing to do. The sliced beef was good but pulled was the best. The "baked " potato was BOILED. It was good but is this a southern thing?? I ordered the peach cobbler and it was really awful. The waitress did take it off my ticket. She was excellent. Overall if you know what to try it is good value family friendly place
