“The best "little theatre" I've been to”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

Don't let the words "small" and "local" cheat you out of a wonderful theatre experience! Think "intimate" and "accessible" instead. The Aurora does well known shows (e.g. Chorus Line) and lesser known (Academy) with equal skill and appeal. I am continually impressed.

“Great shows and acting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012

We have been season ticket holders for 4 years now and have never been disappointed. The shows are creative and the sets are decorative. The place holds about 300 people, so it is a nice intimate atmosphere, but is not a nightmare to get out of like The Fox. Park in the FREE parking deck and you're out in less than 5 minutes. If you live in Gwinnett and enjoy a show from time to time, this is definitely worth it. The acting and writing are much higher quality than you would expect! Very good!

“Not The Fox, but nice for a smaller town.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012

The Aurora is a nice smaller town theatre with decent acting. They have snacks and a full bar, plus catering from McCrays Tavern. Go there for the Christmas show which is a annual event. It will get you in the Christmas spirit for sure. The children's theatre is a nice added touch too!

“Good live, local theater”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2012

We have frequented the Aurora Theater since it opened on the Lawrenceville Square and now have season tickets. Shows are always above par. Acting is generally well above average. Love having dinner on the Square, walking over to the show and heading back to the Square for drinks afterward.

Staff is friendly and more than accommodating. Hardly a bad seat in the house - although front row is a little too 'up close and personal' for me and the balcony has a railing that can obstruct your view.
